I am talking only about the processing delays and over crowding in the reception centre, which has accelerated recently. How would you clear the backlog? Give an amnesty? That would probably be the lefty thinking. Then it would continue to build as more see us as an easy touch. So you process applications promptly, they then have appeal after appeal ( thank you HRA, introduced by Labour). In the meantime applicants are granted temporary admission, as the left believe detention is wrong, and they just disappear

Maybe because I have spent over 30 years working in this field, so my comments are from experience not gleaned from the media
