Suspect there is only one intelligence organisation able to bug a British PM's phone. And one a LOT closer to Westminster than Moscow. In fact, walking distance.

Charlie Richardson claimed he bugged the PMs office by bribing the cleaners to do it.

The Chinese, Americans, Israelis, Iranians, (insert country). Maybe it is the Russians, however, all this 'reds under the bed' stuff now seems like I'm living back in the eighties.

Would the Russians like to be able to listen in? Of course. But this notion that they would be able to and then leak the fact to a Sunday newspaper is ludicrous. If you are a foreign intelligence agency and able to tap a PM's phone, you keep that utterly secret.

If you are a foreign intelligence agency and able to tap a PM's phone, you keep that utterly secret. Why? If your purpose is either to sow dissatisfaction, disrupt democracy or remove a PM then leaking incriminating information may well suit your purposes, especially if you ensure the source is kept secret. There are many channels that someone like the Russians can use.

WE seems reluctant to address his view that the current migrant crisis is " becoming untenable ". WE :It's a bigger problem than can be solved by the Home Office alone. International action seems imperative to tackle the gangs. How we speed up the processing without compromising our obligations under international law must be a huge challenge, but we must try to do it as the situation is becoming untenable. HKO : Becoming untenable? so we're not at the untenable stage yet?

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Why on earth would you make it known that you managed to bug quite possibly the least influential British PM of all time? Beyond even the most basic of rational understanding of how these matters work.
