Overall, I like to see managers that want to be here long term and build something. If Vieira can do that or at least keep us were we are now, then I will be happy. Various figures have been bandied about with some adding that the sum includes wages and others that it includes Zaha sale funds but no-one outside the inner sanctum really knows

Lads NO club ever reveals it's real transfer kitty for fear of being held to ransom. Far better if we put on the 'poor mouth' and wheel and deal a bit eg take a good player we can't afford right now on a loan fee with option to buy like Mateta.

No manager will please everyone. Vierira was obviously not first choice and he is a relative novice at top level management. That said, he has a big profile in football and will command respect among players until he does somethng to change that.
He has to be judged on results like any other manager and you can't afford a bad run at a club like Palace because the margins are too fine for survival.

Let's hope we have a new manager bounce for the opening fixtures because they are very tough.
