If Wilf had total belief in himself and he had a massive ambition he would not have opted for Ivory Coast. Chances are he would have set the World Cup on fire and be close to playing in the final.for England.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle To keep Wilf we probably need to pay him a bit more and spend a s*** ton of money on new players. isn't that hard, is an altogether different proposition. I also think B is probably more important to him than A. The trouble for him playing at Palace is that he's so far and away our stand-out attacking performer that every team kicks the s*** out of him every week. He goes to a top club, and he's got more space when he gets the ball (harder to kick the s*** out of him in that situation), better players to play alongside and train with (and improve him). I also reckon he'd get more penalties, more fouls, and more players carded when fouling him. He might also win trophies. At some point, VAR will come to the Prem. When it does, his value will rocket because he should be getting a lot more penalties than he does.

You may not concerned about these developments but certainly Roy believes we should be replacing both Cabye and Loftus- Cheek with quality . I am concerned but we’ve saved money on Cabaye’s wages, we’ll clearly have money to spend on a midfielder after that Adamou bid in January and RLC isn’t and never was definite. What you’ve donuts thrown a load of smaller and almost non damaging issues in for sensationalism. Do you work for the Croydon advertiser?

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Accountant, balance the books, cut the high wages Parish, must see a golden opportunity to sell Wilf for some £60 m and use those funds to sign an array of class replacements without falling foul of the fair play rules, now that a bidding war is apparently breaking out with so many clubs interested and have change left over.

Wilf off to pastures new. Is this a fact, I've seen nothing to indicate that Wilf has left

I still think we've got a good enough starting 11 to fight for top ten, if we can get back or replace Ruben, just need that cam/creator. It's doable even with a spend limit of 40m. Basically all the other pieces of the jigsaw are in place.

Everyone is assuming that it's about money, maybe there was something like a clause banning him from going to AFCON or something in the middle of our season, which would mess up his Ivory Coast position. Except that AFCON is no longer in the middle of the season.
