Well you certainty are not condemning it.

It would be disastrous for any rioting to happen,it would take away a lot of the rightful sympathies people have.
The whole country are feeling their pain and stress.

People start rioting and looting...it will fade and take away the points that need to be done.

I don't disagree with your sentiment. I've never said I wanted there to be riots (although civil unrest is sometimes seen as the only way as a last resort to get a message across).

I haven't seen you condemn the system of taking key parts of public infrastructure and outsourcing them, leaving them to market forces resulting in a burnt out husk of a totem showing all that is wrong with this country across the horizon of half of London.

As usual I'm presuming the ad hominem attack shows a lack of argument.

First of all civil unrest is never the answer.
Secondly,I don't agree with outsourcing everything, and in this case it was a unmitigated disaster.
But the contractors have to take a lot of the blame as well as the building regulabors.
And I notice you haven't mentioned may has said they will all be re housed within 3 weeks at the latest, and all the the people with bank accounts or on benifits will be given help to make sure they can access their money.

Doesn't suit your agenda ...and lastly again rioting is never the answer.
Setting fire to other people's property and looting will provide nothing.

Not apologist. An observation.

It's called looking from different perspectives iand trying to empathise in order to understand.

Imagine the s*** you'd be going through if you lived through that, or you were one of the fireman (who some on here have said are lazy sods when cuts to the fire service were discussed) who ran into a burning building.

No, it's called excusing vandalism. There is no perspective that justifies it.
This is a big enough tragedy already without adding to it.

She has SAID they will... let's see if this happens. Considering the colossal size of housing waiting lists in this country especially the capital I would he surprised if they can all be rehoused in the area or next borough and IF they are then quite frankly it highlights that they do have properties available and aren't utilising them properly the rest of the time doesn't it.

Secondly £5million. Very commendable and all that but it's half, yes half of what the refit cost. The refit which is under debate whether it contributed directly to them all bloody dying

If it suits your agenda you do...you post blogs to any sort of crappie if it suits you.

You are so predictable.
I don't know if she's gonna do what she says, and for the record I think she is the worst Tory pm for years.

But as you so love to say you have to look at both perspectives....

God only knows. What's your own theory. Do you think someone was paid off to pass it or simply didn't realise the consequences of using this material?

I feel angry for them all and I have a horrible feeling the buck will be passed left right and centre and no one will ever be brought to book for this

The materials were within current fire regs. Which is shocking. We'll wrap your building in a flammable wrapping spend millions on a refit that rendered the building unsafe.

What newspapers were pushing the 'elf and safety gone mad' agenda?
What newspapers were telling people that the country would be better if we took things like safety and running public services away from local government (who we can democratically get rid of at the ballot box) and let the market take control (we can't democratically unelect the likes G4S or any of the ALMO's that run our services and housing)?

There are calls for an inquest, rather than public enquiry. [Link]

No I think some heads will roll, whether they are the right heads or just sacrifice lambs to the slaughter.
I don't know if they are building regs approved..no idea.
But I would think back handers are common place in all tendering.
And not just Tory.

I would assume that there will be an inquest as there are unexplained deaths.

Looks to me like ambulance chasing political lawyer jumping onto the gravy train.

Maybe Mr Gussett can explain the need for Socialist Workers placards to appear at the gathering outside the Town Hall with overtly political messages.
Looks like playing political games with peoples grief to me
