I suspect his motives are the same as most; money, fame, influence. His Brexit position and the friends that brings has earned him a stay in a £13k a month mansion in Chelsea for example.. it’s not that hard to understand why that would be attractive.

90% of people (100% of tories) who get into politics do so for the simple reason that they are power hungry narcissists who love the sound of their own voices. Trump is a good example. They love and adore power and influence, above all else.

After a while they realize they quite like politics, especially when it includes banging your PA, business class flights everywhere, your mug plastered on TV every night and living in a small mansion in Chelsea, as Nigel indulges in.

Farage is an opportunist, who sees a way to get more of what he cherishes so much - power and influence.

Brexit is a means to an end for Nigel Farage. He enjoys the means though as he is a xenophobe and wants to stick it to Juncker and co.

He has failed to be elected a member of British parliament 7 times, and I am sure he would like to quieten some of the internal embarrassment and shame he feels about that. Power hungry narcissists don’t like embarrassment and shame.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

I tend to think you're right about politicians. Decent people are both less corruptible and more prone to expose the corruption of others. Better to let grifter after grifter breeze through the ranks as they can be absorbed into a system of self interest. If you actually care about typical communities and every day lives and have lived one yourself, you bring about suspicion and something akin to an immune response.

I don't think PalazioVecchio meant Labour voters, I think he was referring to the Labour leadership....they would be the ones getting in.

Still, I'd never consider someone scum because they vote a certain way. People vote the way they do for different reasons and a lot of Labour's vote....especially the northern vote is tribal and historical...something they seem to be doing their best to erode.

That said, I consider Corbyn a traitor and also a disaster that would make May look like a genius.....and May was useless.

I'm pleased that the state visit is going as well as can be expected though. The queen offers a reliable pair.....
of hands, and state visits are more about relations between countries than likes or dislikes of the public.

1. Sounds like bill Clinton or Tony bliar.

2. Farage is married to a German. He puts this country and its people first. Shame him then.

Well. You say married. She dumped him long ago. He’s another Boris type and can’t keep it in his trousers.

When he said I did not have sexual relations with that woman, maybe he was talking about Hillary!
