Villa’s manager saw a very different game than the one I was at. It’s gonna be a very long season for Villa.

Garth Crooks jumps on the bandwagon and selects Grealish in his team of the week and saying it was an outrageous decision to book him for a dive saying it was a penalty for a foul by Zaha. Only thing in GC's favour he does also pick Ayew.

He needs to take a trip to 'Specsavers'.

Grealish, as he is prone to do,resembled a swimmer diving into a pool or even a dolphin rising out of the water before re-entering it and was rightly booked by the referee who had a good view of the incident.

Apparently in the match report the VAR officials said they would not have changed the referee's decision anyway.

Crooks Lineker Jenas all jumped in and got stuck.

We never won a thing when they were playing, and they don't even know the rules.

Jack Grealished dived and that is a fact.

He may have been nudged on his way through but he lost himself the goal by trying to make the fall more dramatic by exagerating his fall and that is what they call in this world, CHEATING.

He only has himself to blame. They could feel hard done by if they deserved a point but they deserved nothing from that match.

Anyone who didn't watch the game could be forgiven in thinking that 'plucky' Villa's £100m squad missed out on a heard earned point. They may however have missed McGinn stamping on Schlupp's knee, Grealish collapsing and whining throughout and Palace completely dominating the midfield (boys v men). Or the fact we had twice as many chances while their only real effort on goal was after the referee had blown (rightly or wrongly).

Villa will do better against teams who are more open, but any opposition manager who watched the game will see how easily they are bullied, so I expect them to struggle against more physical opposition like Burnley, Watford and Sheffield United.

Just watched slow-mo replays as I was unsure what had happened...
There is contact with Wilf outside the box but Grealish drags his toe into the ground immediately before this contact taking him into Wilf's leg.
Grealish stumbles on, Gary Cahill sticks out his leg and pulls it back immediately and a horizontal Grealish goes over the "ghost-leg" with both his own legs trailing behind him. The ref blows for simulation.

I am available to be a MOTD footy pundit and would save the BBC cash but I'm not sure that I'd fit in.

Just seen the aptly named Crooks' summary on BBC.

What a prick. Putting Grealish in his team of the week is a joke, quite clearly didn't watch the game and giving a false verdict on dive.

Getting sick and tired of these half-wits, I can only think of Paul Merson, supposedly the clown, who ever gives us a fair shake.

F 'em all, it's like they are resentful of Palace being a PL club so I'm happy we look to be continuing our stay in the top flight.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Now that we are a top four side I'm looking forward to us getting more of these decisions in our favour against small clubs like Villa.

Interesting what Chris Kamara said yesterday - Ayew needs to be in the 6 yard box more to get on the end of some of these crosses.
He plays too wide and deep sometimes but I guess as a lone striker you will get dragged everywhere.

A Valuable 3 points from this game, although I feel if Villa still had 11 on the pitch it would have finished 0-0.

P.S was loving those drums in the Arthur.
