With accounts like these is Parish being very greedy and unrealistic taking the huge salary he gets?
One of the biggest mysteries in life is that loud stupid people normally don't have even the slightest inclination that they are stupid. |

Has anyone else read the price of football review and done the first letter thing on each sentence? What it spells out surely can't be a coincidence can it? remarkable if it is.

Depressing accounts quite frankly.

His salary is a bit of an oddity as he takes a large salary but puts it back into the company which I find rather silly as he will pay a huge amount of income tax on a salary that he hasn't drawn whereas it would have been more cost effective to just not draw the salary in the first place. I'm guessing that he does this rather than dig deep into his pockets to match the investment by the Americans. The interesting thing is that his large remuneration is listed in the accounts as a bonus. I wonder what that bonus is for? It can't be for keeping us in the Premiership as Roy did that and it can't be for making profits as the company made a huge loss

The price of football list the figures as the highest paid director.

It’s quite an achievement. Seriously, it’s tor the number of media appearances. Vital for us.

Me a bit shocked really! Living in the promised land of PL and such a Heavy debt. Is it the end if we get relegated? Thinking of Benteke that has cost us around 40 mill. and gives almost zero in Return. Get rid of and start upgrading Our academy players - give one or two game time. They are the future. Throw them in deep water - lift the fans and saving money for a more healthy account.

We won't be able to turn off our massive outgoings like a tap if we're relegated. Those players who are readily saleable won't achieve their true value in a fire sale and we have plenty of others who are costing us dearly, but will be difficult to shift. We all know, from past experience, that when we drop a division 10k+ 'loyal' supporters disappear as will generous sponsors, so our income will drop dramatically, not withstanding parachute payments. If we are ever going to progress as a club we need to stay in the PL and start improving the infrastructure. We need owners who are able and prepared to invest up front in this, with an eye to the long-term and not to make a quick buck. I hate to say it, but what we need is to find a Palace-loving equivalent of Tony Bloom
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |
