I know this is all about opinions but I think you must have been watching different games to me, and I watch them all. He wins lots of headers played up from the defence. Not always cleanly and not always well directed but providing enough time to allow for regrouping and taking a breath. His physical strength is what gets him into those situations. He clears more corners than most of the other defenders but he is a forward. Man marking is not his skill. Should we lose him then I am sure we will notice a gap next year. I agree

Clearly, our poor set piece defending is not all down to Tekkers (Guita's reluctance to come off his line is another factor) but he clearly doesn't help the situation

As Becky mentioned on the game thread, once the ink is dry on the new contract it will be back to the Benteke of the previous 3 seasons. This one player has held back all potential in the forward area thanks to his transfer fee and wages, time to cut loose.
