Tickled pink Are you suggesting Eze is quick then ? He is able to dribble with excellent change of pace yes, opponents do not know what to do with him, I can't say I've seen him running without the ball so pace in that sense I don't know, opponents cannot tackle him because he pushes the ball past them every time they try and that is the pace I'm referring to.

OK understand that he body movements and footwork are his big assets by lack of pace I was referring to outrunning fullbacks etc from a standing start.

Sky put up an interesting stat today after Furlong's OG that, apart from Spurs, we'd scored more goals in the first fifteen minutes than any other team which seems to belie the oft stated opinion that we can't start on the front foot. We almost did Wolves early didn't we with probably our best goal of the season so far. Edited by Tickled pink (06 Dec 2020 8.39pm)

I thought Eze was the best player on the pitch today especially second half. Clyne looks the bargain of the season. Classy player but PVA is a defensive liability. It’s fun reading all the posts after the game. Wilf scores and it’s all hail the Messiah. Benteke scores and the majority take the p*ss! He had a good game and we looked to have much better balance as a team than in recent games with him on the pitch.

It's not so much what he can do with his feet, which is pretty good anyway, but that he has a priceless knack of figuring his way out of a tight spot. He is our new talisman - assuming Wilf moves on. It's the end of the line for Luca, PvA and McArthur though. Today I thought PvA was on the WBA payroll.

He doesn't play that way, he comes across very laid back with the way he plays so I can understand where you're coming from, Riedewald is quite a similar type.

PVA is a strange fellow, he is I think just a lot inconsistent, I personally prefer Mitchel in defence and I'd try PVA further forward in the way we use Schlupp.

Lol, did you watch the game?! Maybe remind yourself of the comments on here before the sending off...perhaps replay the game and take those rose tinted glasses off for once and pay attention to what’s actually happening on the pitch. Listen to the commentary and remarks of the pundits as well...they can’t ALL be wrong surely?! We had previously given a very poor Burnley side their first win of the season and Newcastle had beaten us 2-0 at home. 19th placed WBA had the momentum and were looking the more likely team to go on and win before the Pereira sending off. Yes I did watch the game. Very closely. We were better for first 10/15 minutes then they had a better spell till the sending off. No different than most games in this division in the first half. The momentum? Win the game? He was sent off in the 34th minute not the 89th. We could have easily beaten Burnley and Newcastle and nobody could have said we didn’t deserve points. We beat Leeds 4-1 and fans like yourself are straight on here complaining that we wouldn’t have won only for their disallowed goal. Pathetic.

I prefer Mitchell as a defender but the problem with Mitchell is that Roy doesn’t trust him so we end up basically playing with 2 left backs when he plays.

Watch closely and you'll see just how often Luka wins the ball back for us. Sticking a foot in here, intercepting a pass there...I thought he did pretty well for first game back for a while. Agree, that late tackle was pretty reckless though. I agree with this. Probably one of the better games Luka has played. He did very little wrong bar get that silly yellow.
