The only players when fit that should start are -
Guanita
Tomkins
Cahill
PVA
Luka - he needs a playmaker with him
Wilf
Kouyate
The rest are bench warmers at best
An end to a season like this does not bode well for the soon to start next season.
I also do not think that Roy is the man to make these changes.
Do we have the money - doubtful.
Based on what I have seen since the restart relegation will be a real possibility.

We really should have been relegated this season, only the heroics of Guiata who single-handedly saved us at least 10 points earlier in the season kept us above the drop zone. Hodgson has lost the players, so it's game over - Parish has a couple of months to get the broom out, if it carries on like this we'll most certain be relegated.
The cynic in me says Freedman will take over...

Agreed! I can’t understand the general comments that we have nothing to play for either.

Every spot higher in the table = a shedload more money at the end of the season for the club.

And the players’ contracts will incentivise them to aim for a higher league position at the end. Although it’s clearly not incentivising them enough!

Oh, and then there’s pride as well, but I think that went out the window long ago.

Have you forgotten every place in the Premier League earns millions, the higher CP the more £millions we win.. so why are you saying Nothing to play for?
If he (Roy) felt that why did he not blood new players to give the some premier league experience.
BUT Roy is clueless beyond Plan A.

The only people saying that there's nothing to play for have been on here when slating Hodgson for not playing youngsters.

Every spot is worth £2m. But in the last few matches it became apparent that we wont get higher than 13th and almost certainly won't drop to 15th.

There's more to football than a club bank balance.

With the side we have been putting out we don't look like scoring, and certainly don't look like winning. We don't pose any threat to the oposition and won't give players that might a chance.

We could have used try out something different for next season, but instead it's just the same old crap that doesn't work.

Based on 7 games, 7 loses, 2 goals. Sunday could be Roy's last game in management. If the players have any respect for him they will come out pumped up to give the old guy a good send off, or a chance to continue next season.

Thought in the first half we played with attacking intent but there was yet again a lack of quality in the final third. Second half we tired and the already lacking ideas ran out completely and Wolves upped the intensity as they appear to have done in many games.

Injuries and multiple changes at the back mean we’re no longer looking the defensive force we were and this run is killing confidence.

I agree about the starters but I would be adding Kouyate to that bench list. He is one god damn awful football player. He is hard working and gets about the pitch but lord above I don't think he is capable of kicking a fotball in a straight line.

To-date, I have heard nothing to suggest that Hodgson will not start the season as our manager, in fact quite the opposite.

Willo - that is very worrying to me.
Even if he gets £100m to spend - which he won't - he will not get flair in.
Luka needs a Cabaye type character to allow him to do what he does best.
Wilf - if he is staying - needs to know that he has someone to play with so that he starts to get more involved.
So much needs sorting out, so much money needs writing off but I am not sure even with funds available whether Roy is the right man.
He has been brilliant and is not solely to blame for this recent run of defeats but at 72 is he them man to start a new generation - I think not.
I feared for us this season but was thankfully proved wrong but next season already looks lost.
If things are not to change I am not sure I can renew my ticket - much as I love CPFC the lack of any ambition worries me even though I know that SP and Roy are working hard for us.

The impression I am getting (Rightly or wrongly) is that supporters recognise what Hodgson has achieved in keeping us up on a limited spend and that key to our survival has been the organisation, shape, discipline etc etc that he has installed in the team. This is the Hodgson methodology.

However, supporters believe that even if we acquire more flair players, the "Hodgson way" will continue with players having to stick rigidly to the mantra with no room for any inventiveness, "Thinking out of the box" etc etc and woe betide any player who slightly deviates in a game from a rigid "Plan A".That said, the "Plan A" has secured survival in the PL for 3 seasons.

Supporters of course appreciate that organisation is important but playing in a "Strait jacket" is not what they want any more and believe that other managers with the same squad could have got more out of them.

The "Hodgson out" camp appears to be growing by the day.

What was even the point in Woods, Gordon, Kirby and Pierrick being on the bench as he was never going to use any of them and we all knew that?

Roy Hodgson's bizarre subs part 53: lose Sakho to inkury so rather than bringing on Kelly or Woods, go for Kouyate (along with McCarthy an awful signing made by Hodgson who has done nothing in is time here) and is not a proper centre-half; losing the game so taking off Schlupp and bringing on a more defensive player in Riedewald.
