Apropos the hurling of the rolled up paper, I recall the days when toilet rolls used to rain down from the Holmesdale terrace.

Its not Banter. its pathetic, its moronic and its embarrassing. Whats worse who had the last laugh! Just concentrate on supporting OUR team >talk of what went on the the 60 and 70s is not relevant. Tie has moved on . HF want to be taken seriously , eg protests about what sky is doing to football, then start behaving.

Can i just confirm that the Vardy and Schmeichel goading songs were started by the back of Block C. Then the HF joined it and carried it on. They get abused for not joining in with other fan songs, then get lambasted when they do. They cannot win. Saying all this, i agree that the Vardy song was always going to end it tears. Even my 11 year old son told me he is going to score now and do something back. We should aim to avoid these antics and get on with it. It was funny toying with Schmeichel. Not Vardy who was always going to hurt us!

I hear you dont get none of that boisterous behaviour at the Emirates, some should go there so they arent so offended at the yobs in the Holmesdale. Think you need to grow up mate. Only children would be impressed with that behaviour yesterday. Newsflash! its no longer the 70s or 80s

You can see why people call us Nigels... It was a bit of rolled up paper and a couple of harmless (although tempting fate a bit I agree) songs.

I thought it was great banter, no one got hurt only paper and few cheeky words some people really need to lighten up. We are palace that's why it was only paper, millwall I'm sure it would have been more!! I admit that I wasn't there, but from what I've read and heard, I'm struggling to understand what all the fuss is about.
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

It’s nothing new to Schmeichal nor the Premier Leagues biggest chav, Vardy. It’s water off a ducks back to them and fair play to Vardy for giving it back with the celebration. Let’s move on and find something else to blame on the HF, such as the state of the Arther Waite bogs.

Rest assured I never entered the ground with a toilet roll nor attained one from the toilets at the bottom of the muddy slope behind the Holmesdale terrace.

The front of the singing section is row 20. This about 25 meters from the edge of the pitch. How far do you think a rolled up piece of paper can be thrown? My point is the paper is very likely to have been thrown by the front 10 rows. I was in the Arthur Waite so could be wrong though. Another poster has already confirmed the Schmeichel chants came from the back of block C. There are some who will blame the HF for everything.
