This post has been merged from a topic called 'Great article' by bexleydave Very good article. And he's got a point - but reckon this is a merge with the general moaning thread.

Very good article. And he's got a point - but reckon this is a merge with the general moaning thread. The article is in another thread already. Possibly the one you mention.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Great article' by bexleydave this article does express accurately what I see the problems with the club are and without excellent recruitment even if we can find a way of staying up this year we are going to be at the end of the road with this group by next summer the performance level will be dropping among the key group, Zaha will definitely be gone in 12 months and others contracts will be run down or in the last year it's very hard for us to recruit just one or two key positions - we could have 8 or 9 to fill in one summer - it is hard to see how that can go well judging by our recent performance in the transfer market for all his positives I think it is true to say that Parish has been extremely fortunate even if he has made some of his own luck with having and picking the right rescue managers that were available it's happened so often I am sure he just believes it is his own talent but I worry a lot of it has been luck and that is going to run out picking up of affordable new talent - fees and wages - does seem beyond the current management / directors I don't feel bad towards the Americans for wanting out - they must have a lot of sympathy for the view expressed in this article and want to avoid losing their shirts in a relegation it's not all gloom and doom - I think Zaha will stay and do a good job even if his heart won't be in it in the same way but he still has to put himself in the shop window to get the move he wants and Roy has his method that will be effective enough with the current group but it is going to start crashing down unless there are some inspirational new signings in the next week and again in January and again next summer I think we will stay up, just, but the thrust of article is correct that the Palace directors don't have the insight, experience and yes, vision, to lift and reinvent the club to sustain it in the PL and it is really starting to show I don't think Parish will sell easily as he loves being in control. I am not sure who will buy if they can't be in control and would just be happy to let Parish spend their money - billionaires will want to have their own fun with the club

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Great article' by bexleydave I think the article sums up where we are exactly. Going nowhere and facing a certain struggle against relegation again, one which this time we may well lose.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Great article' by bexleydave There is some credence to the article but our only outfield starter aged 30 or above is McArthur and our more successful signings recently have been players in mid-twenties, Luka, Andros etc. Sorloth, Riedewald and, to date, Meyer have not made a mark McCarthy is just one of a many rumours. Let's wait a week. Most of the action in a transfer window is in the last few days
