Can never work out if liddle's work is classic satire along the lines of Brass Eye or if the guy really is as stupid as he comes across.

He's just an old leftie who, quite understandably, despairs of the new left.

What a shame that there isn't a word of Greek origin that describes a victory obtained at an unacceptable cost or, indeed, a German word that means revelling in the misfortunes of others.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

To show their seriousness in paying off their debts the Greeks have decided to employ thousands of charity door knockers and street fund raisers to help pay off their debts. Their spokesman, Achilles Hellius, announced: “We’re going to raise money for Greece in the way British people are accustomed to, people coming to the door and asking them for a monthly payment for something they don’t really care about”. Palace fan, Willo, welcomed the move: “This is fantastic news. Because of the thousands of jobs it will create, it will help both the Greek and British economies at the same time!”

You speak for yourself.

That's generally how it works. Unless you'd like to declare that Johnny can speak for you from now on?
