Really? I thought I was giving a second rate history lesson.
I would be very happy to be more aligned with America since we share a language, have similar cultures and rely on them for military protection.

In the last three and a half years, 90 percent of global fines levied on financial institutions (total $14 billion) were issued by United States (US) regulators. Of note is the fact that UK, French, German and Swiss banks, with branches stateside, paid nearly 40 percent of the total fines relating to economic crime in the US.

So of course we are about to win back our sovereignty. We don’t have to live by the rules of others any more. And the USA is the best country to do business with. And certainly doesn't ‘tax’ foreign firms through back door means and force them to behave as if they are US firms.

'No Deal is fine as far as I am selfishly concerned.
Boris just needs to have the balls to see it through.
The EU are scared witless at the long term prospect of the UK flourishing - and we will!
Short term will be rocky but it is about time this Country took the " short term pain for long term gain route" in my opinion.
Given the depth of the brown stuff we are in anyway a bit more won't make a lot of difference so bring it on!

Unfortunately, the P.M. seems to have lost the necessary balls when he caught Covid. The dropping of Dominic Cummings was a sure sign Boris will try to do a deal. The 'Deep State' will not allow No Deal anyway.

Boris Johnson only cares about one thing and thats himself. He's a populist. He says what he thinks people want to hear to gain support. So, one days its "send them back and string them up" and get in Dominic Cummings to sort out all his soft "one nation" conservatives"; next its get rid of Cummings so he can blame him when it all goes wrong.
He wants a no deal in his heart but he's now a bit scared that if it all goes tits up everyone will blame him. So, I think he will agree a deal, but it will be one that the hard brexiteers wont like one bit. Remember him saying he had an oven ready deal? Its all bollocks with Boris. He is what is known as a bulls***ter.

Sorry Maine, you can rage all you like about Trump....there's a grain of truth in some of it, if OTT.

However, when you say Biden is normal I'm afraid you are fooling yourself.
