EC President Ursula von der Leyen says Brexit will be "new beginnings for old friends". That's diplomatic parlance for 'get lost we have had enough of you'. A sentiment it is not difficult to agree with.

Don't worry, Brexit will surely be a sellout and you will get your homogeneous globalist technocratic paradise run by the likes of the not at all robotic Ursula Von Der Leyen

Can anyone say which countries within the common market/EU would’ve gone to war with each other with disagreements escalating without the common market and then EU political union because I’m struggling. Don’t include Germany because East Germany was never in the EU. Nobody would have gone to war with anyone because two world wars genetically removed too many of the men capable enough of fighting in one. Have a look at the state of most of the "men" around you now. If any of them look remotely like men, they are probably not western European.

Fascinating to see where Boris has been today. Proving that politics is sometimes as much about where you say things as what.

This is what it was ALWAYS about. I still don't trust Johnson not to betray us but fingers crossed. Because this could be happening...absolutely smashing news. By June we will be feasting on fresh British fish, great lamb and steaks from South America along with inward investment flowing. Finally a chance to reestablish ourselves as a truly global trading nation. Let the EU do what it needs to do and good luck to it in dealing with Poland and Hungary, both nations whom I hope we offer all kinds of direct support to in their own struggles with Brussels.

The Poland/Hungary impasse has been resolved and the EU's citizens will be in receipt of the massive covid restoration fund, safe-guarding their jobs and living standards. Far from the ridiculous fantasy world you portray, British citizens are in for an extremely tough time.

Just enough money will flow until the Germans and the Dutch feel they are back on an even keel and then off it goes again. To keep on exporting cheaply they need the likes of Greece and Italy to remain piss-poor. The UK might be in for a dodgy few months but after the year we have had? Nah. Storm in a teacup. We are rocketing! Let the roaring 20's begin!
