I do criticise the EU over this rushed and precipitous negotiation. They are just as guilty, if not more. You would think we all had enough to deal with.

If the details are correct then not only did the EU pull this stunt on Thursday about fishing, they are demanding the UK is prevented from offering state subsidies whilst they actually want the ability to ignore this themselves. Impose rules on us that they will not follow themselves? It has to be no-deal now. There really is no other option.

There is no such thing as remaining the UK has left the EU. The UK could I suppose apply again if it wishes. Whether it is EU good or bad, it is irrelevant. Really all these matters should have been settled before the UK left the EU and the public should have had a vote on it.
We had a vote which gave decision making to the ministers. How many issues should be voted on?

When corbyn lost in 2017 the EU surely must have known there was no going back. I dont know maybe they thought the uk would have a moment and change their minds. Backfired a bit I reckon.

This should have been settled ages ago.

This should have been settled ages ago. Johnson has to pull the plug. No choice now. This defines him now for the rest of his term in office. Vaccine is now available, 2021 is going to be a year of turmoil no matter what. We control our own money supply so its a win-win situation. We can effectively go free trade on an entire range of goods. Drop corporation tax, essentially become the nightmare the EU seem to fear so much. But there is zero gain now because any deal with the EU will be seen in terms of him capitulating. Might as well go for broke along with a wider campaign encouraging people to boycott EU goods.

There could be more in it for the uk to actually talk. Boris has got his lines and to reverse some would only be if others were extended.

Unless Johnson's bottled it.....like everything else.
