The EU were so arrogant that they wouldn't give Cameron anything at all and in doing that they ensured a "leave" vote.

France is of course the issue. Germany pragmatic enough to want a deal. France's pragmatism runs to how much free money can they get from the Germans whilst subsidising the laziest people on Earth. But, of course, it's the evil English coming to buy cheap drink at Calais and not wanting to eat vatlrious raw delights that are the problem.
