I lifted my self imposed Amex ban. How I wished I hadn’t bothered.

I was still in a pub in Brighton when the team was announced. If it was still pay on the day to get in I probably would have opted to stay where I was.

Once again we concede early and once again from a set piece. Defensively we look like a bundle of nerves. Brighton predictably targeted Munoz early in the game and were rewarded for it.

No apparent game plan. Looked like eleven strangers that had never met. Slow, predictable and no leadership. A Delaney or Jedinak would not have allowed their team mates to be so passive.

I always try to see things from Hodgson point of view, but when he brought Olise on to compete in a game that was already lost, I just couldn’t fathom that. I can only wonder what Ray Lew and Paddy thought of that decision.

It looks like Olise and Eze aren’t going to be available for a spell. The rest of the season is looking grim.

When these are not playing together we look a total shambles.
As for getting our head on the ball at corners and crosses the less said the better.
Apropos their 3rd and 4th goals, they cut through our terrible defence like a knife through butter.
A truly awful performance - SHAME ON YOU ALL.

We have been circling the drain with Brighton for many years now. This spanking was a long time coming and unfortunately the chickens have come home to roost.

There seems to be a disconnect between Roy and the medical staff first over Eze some months back and now Olise. In both cases Roy was hinting they were ready whilst the staff disagreed and both got injured again.

If that is correct and Roy is ignoring the medical opinion then he should be fired for that at the very least. We may now not see Olise again this season when we are desperate for him.

I dunno , I think the spanking we got a few years back now , they had a man sent off in the first half i think and still managed to spank us big time was way more embarrassing.

What I think we can now agree on ( am I being too presumptuous?) is that, without Eze and Olise, we are now the worst team in the league.

Wait, I hear you say, what about Sheffield United? Good point, but if you were at the game on Tuesday night it was apparent that without our aforementioned two stars, we would probably have lost that game.

Roy Hodgson said of Wharton: “He showed why we’ve bought him. It was a baptism of fire. He lost the ball in midfield trying to turn with it which led to a third goal, but apart from that, the rest of his performance was good I thought, and he will get better and better.” Passing the blame and singling out a youngster again Roy , not good .

need to redecorate after that to many holes in the wall , can take defeats but not against them , not going to pass judgement on the new boys it was welcome to premier lge ,
i get that Roy has had a tough time with injurys to key players , but he should have gone for broke played both strikers give franca a start , they was hurting from being thrashed by luton so there for the taking , change of manager yes for who god knows ,
what was said in the sky report and the last comments was , be careful what you wish for , that is so so true ,
we should have Ravi back so another option give Oz a full game , play franca , shake things up , and put some mini tramps in our penalty area see if our CBs can get off the ground when defending corners ,
next game Chelsea they will have one eye on lge cup so may get something out of that game , i did say may COYP

Even with Brighton in dire straits, Hodgson can't help himself can he? TBH, he's taking the piss out of the fans.

Munoz only playing because Clyne and Ward are injured. Not to wish harm on anybody but it is time for Schlupp and/or Hughes to get a season-ending injury

You'll always struggle with those 2 in the side

TBF Hughes did well against Shef Utd but we don't play them every week

Although I've not seen much of Ozoh and Ahamada, I haven't seen them do much wrong either

The main danger is that Luton are getting their act together opening up a relegation place

There are questions to be asked of Roy, such as what is the point of winning a corner? Where is the energy going forward? Even Pulis with arguably worse players found a way to get goals, we're so predictable and slow

I only hope Parish isn't waiting for the international break, like with Viera, to make his move
