A lot of positives but one is that there was no reverse of traffic flow after the sending off. It was not the game changer no matter how the media may suggest it was. We were on top before and after. Had conor been as accurate in play as he probably is in training it could have been even worse for spurs.

Yet the reality is that Tanganga got sent off because he couldn't handle Wilf's pace - the sending off was therefore directly related to our side playing better. They have also been quick to talk about missing team players etc. Scary how big their list of excuses is as they dealt with the shock of being trounced yesterday

Very surprising to see the number of empty seats in the Main Stand and the Whitehorse Lane end today??? I didn’t see that amount of empty seats at the Brentford game. I understand we haven’t sold as many season tickets this year but you’d expect those tickets to be sold for a home game against Spurs. There would have been 2 more empty seats had I not been lucky enough to be offered a lift by car. There were no trains from the South Coast due to an incident at Purley - it's possible that quite a few people were unable to get to the game

I don't think I've ever seen Palace play so well. First half we were on the front foot and they could barely get a kick as it went on. At half time I was sitting there open mouthed at our dominance, but fully expecting Kane to nick one. Second half we were even better and should've scored before all the drama. I saw something that said Tanganga only touched the ball 5 times all game, well that's what happens when you are barely in the game, you feel the need to make an impact. Wilf was electric, the midfield incredible, Anderson's passing was immense, and Eduoard...things will get harder this season but my word we might just have something very special building here. Imagine Eze in this team...

Indeed there is but you see far more when you are actually at a game. Benteke may well have been a complete waste of money, but I was commenting on his performance yesterday. He held the ball up and linked the play well. He had a good game. As for my spelling that hasn’t stopped me in a near 40 year career in the City. I read your posts on this site and appreciate they are your opinion however I think most of what you post is complete bollox. Yeah, 16 goals in 4 seasons, Good player or Carthorse, the only thing that Bollox :to use your Phrase: is Benteke
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

So many positives from that performance and the 2nd half of West Ham. It is amazing how different the perspective you have watching a game live to watching the highlights. I didn't think Spurs (apart from Moura) were any threat while watching live but blimey - they were poor! They missed Son a lot too. I actually thought the CBs passing was a little loose at points and reckon we'll be caught out by a hard pressing team. Still I'm looking forward to the game v the bindippers. Reckon Benteke will start and be a bit more positive as he knows he's got real competition now.

As complete team performances go, that's the best I've seen in a number of years. Every player was ' at it '. The headlines will go to Wilf, Gallagher and of course Edouard, but I thought Tyrick Mitchell had the best game I've seen him play in a Palace shirt. The squad is still Work In Progress, but we have a lot to be positive about.

I feel he lost his confidence when we stopped giving him service, and its never really returned. Were we the second lowest crossing team in the league last season? He played well but certainly needs to have a more positive mindset to score regularly again.

Yea but we've been waiting 2 years for him to sort out his mindset. Edouard is on the pitch for 8 minutes and he gets two goals. How long did we wait for the last 2 Benteke goals and how many chances has he missed.

Superb day. It feels like a long time since there was noise like that and it was great to see Wilf put on a performance. As much as we were good I thought Spurs were absolutely pathetic and have to admit I was getting a little frustrated by some of our play / quality the final third before we got the penalty. Édouard’s confidence will be sky high. All eleven players deserve credit although I’d agree that the right hand side may be problem going forward. Ayew doesn’t have the legs or speed to that job any more. Maybe they see Olise playing there. Andersen’s long passing is a real bonus.
