Can't blame ward or any of the defence, in the system we are playing they are going to be knackered with 90mins of constant pressure.

No build up play too direct. The defence was excellent but there must be some relief for them and the 2 subs Benteke and Luka not what was needed and employed too late. The point was lost in midfield imho. Good to see Cahill back and as captain too.

Even when they went down to 10 they were more of a threat and looked more likely to win.

McCarthy is injured. I'm not sure about Ayew - his form has dipped this season but I think there must be another reason for his total absence.

Sad to state the obvious but Mr Hodgson is a classic case of staying on longer than he should. He looks and acts an old man and Mr Parish will soon pay for his blind loyalty. But has he the guts to say:

The vast majority of supporters despair of a manager who is a dinosaur and taking the enjoyment of watching Palace with his negative tactics and lack of flair However Parish views Roy as a safe pair of hands and his Yes Man meekly accepting his total caution in the transfer market and whatever financial restraints he throws at him Nothing will change unless it rains pound notes or Parish sells the Club to a billionaire

I hate to say it but Brighton deserved at least a point and possibly all three. They outclassed us across the field. Took our wingers out of the game and controlled the centre of the park. We offered nothing and gas always we were set up to defend but no team can be on the back foot for pretty much the whole 90 mins and hope to prosper.

A new owner will want total control so it ain’t going to happen

I've been pretty pro-Roy up till now, basically makes the best of what he's dealt with personnel wise, and he has to ensure results as a priority before the idea of progressive football can be entertained, but this was anti-football dog food, we need to construct moves, make chances and try to score goals for some small part of the game not NONE of it - apart from the disallowed goal which was unlucky and a very lucky pen, we offered NOTHING offensively, and that simply is not good enough.
