Willo. The political establishment needs to distance itself from Saudi. Especially the Conservatives. It makes a lot of grass roots supporters uncomfortable, that I can tell you. Edited by Cucking Funt (04 Jun 2017 7.10pm)

Why indeed. I actually agree with you - Saudi is the problem. I'm extremely uncomfortable with this government and its predecessors cozying up with them. They are 100% behind the funding of subversive mosques and the promotion of wahaabism (sp). It's not just May, Nick. It's been UK governments for years. Yep - Saudis have been funding and exporting their 'interpretation' since the 70's but back then we had what we thought were bigger fish to fry: the Soviet Union. Fast forward 15-20 years and to the 1993 WTC bombing and the now fallen Berlin Wall then our attention should have immediately been diverted to the Arabian peninsula. And still no-one has the balls to confront them. Money talks. Hush money talks louder. 'What's that Prince Faisal? Another big contract for BAe? Lovely jubbly. You can carry on about your business then. We nor the Yanks will interfere'

While I agree with you in principle, the problem is that it's pretty hard to know what they're doing before they go, and if you passed a law you'd have to be pretty sure that it wouldn't be abused in the future. Someone deciding all people with usernames beginning with dave should be exiled, for example. Actually, it seems that they have found a way, back up by the European Court, in fact.

Leave people alone in their own countries. (I've never read such complete bollock5 in my life - your posts really take the biscuit).

Talking to ISIS would be like talking to a brick wall - pointless. They only know one way - death and destruction. Even if we did pull all military action out of the Middle East and stopped bombing them, they'd still hate us. Channelling Steptoe Corbyn's delusional pacifism won't solve our problems. How do you know if you haven't tried? Some of them will certainly by psychopathic murderers, but as someone pointed out it's usually only a small group who have become that twisted. Dialogue tends to help foster internal tension within groups, splinters them and so on. Those that can't be reined in via such methods would certainly meet with death and destruction one way or another. And why do you think Corbyn's a pacifist?

JC is not a pacifist he has said so nor a dictator either. What he can do is talk to people who do not agree with him unlike most of us.

I don't trust him, nor May, nor Farron for that matter to run this country. They're all equally clueless. ISIS only know one way - their way. And if they want a war, then we should give them one. If you let a venomous snake into your home, you don't try to reason with it and tell it to behave. You cut it's head off. Give me one good reason why ISIS would benefit from being talked to? They don't care about our way of life.
