Times have certainly changed and I had this discussion only last night.

Gone are the days when a manager or coach analysing the opposition attend games in all climes with a set of cards on which a football pitch is printed and they scribble the movement of players at set-pieces!

Good to see you back Willo after a couple of weeks out....no doubt stretching the hamstrings.

This along with Clyne has Roy written all over it.

The 'Holy Trinity' of Welbeck, Clyne and Wilshere.

They would be well prepared for a wheelchair football side but I doubt the PL.

To be fair we still have ten days to sign Benhrama and Downes so they could still happen.. Doubtful but they could

I doubt it. I reckon benhrana will stay st Brentford and hope a big club Gomez in for him in january. I'd love to get downed, but didn't he keVd ghd game on crutches at the weekend? Reckon we could get a couple of young lower league players that haven't been mentioned.

Wolves are eyeing Benrahma as a replacement for Jota.

What is really frustrating is, we were possibly in a position to invest in the club with the likes of Watkins and Benrahma but whoever runs the roost at the club won’t invest, and instead we spend money on loan moves, and so called ‘free transfers (Meyer).,

Obviously Eze is the exception, but that’s £ freed up by finally paying for Tekkers , who along with CW (wherever he is) were given contract extensions to keep our inflated wage bill nice and high.

Why on earth we don’t move Meyer, Tekkers and other fringe players on that drain resources and offer nothing is equally frustrating, those 2 players soak up what 10mill at year ...

We don't seem to have any spaces in the squad, and can only offload players to Championship/lower league sides who are all broke.

1) Hennessy
2) Guaita
3) Henderson
4) Ward
5) PVA
6) Tomkins
7) Dann
Sakho
9) Cahill
10) Kelly
11) Mitchell
12) Milivojevic
13) Meyer
14) Kouyate
15) Townsend
17) Schlupp
1 McArther
19) McCarthy
20) Reidewald
21) Eze
22) Ayew
23) Zaha
24) Benteke
25) Wickham
26) Batshuayi
27) Woods
2 Inniss
29) Jach

Inniss, Woods, and Jack are all unlikely to make the 25 man squad. But that still leaves us one player over. Can't see Benrahma, Clyne, Welbeck, Wiltshire or anyone else joining for the moment.

Wickham and one of Kelly/Dann are the only others I can see droping down a division.

Clubs have to want them and they have got to agree to leave.Large salaries can prove an obstacle of course.

Apropos Eze, indeed we had to pay a transfer fee but we received some money from the Sorloth sale to RB Leipzig so our 'Net Spend' this season has been negligible.

Silvertop made a point about Burnley and Palace being similar in terms of funding. Burnley have bought practically no one in the expensive part of the transfer window. Now the lower value section of the transfer window is here I believe Burnley will add to their squad wisely and the players they buy will slot in quickly. I hope we can match them but only with players that fit the system and bolster weak areas not with players that flatter in the Championship but may not cut the mustard in the higher leagues.
