y Yeah a bit disappointing. Early kick offs are always a bit flat at the den though. We all need to be half pissed I think. A couple of years ago we played Everton in the cup at home and it was a 5:30pm kick off. The atmosphere was electric. Everyone was well oiled after a whole days drinking. That’s my theory anyway. the early kick off was definitely a factor in the atmosphere you didn’t make the den as intimidating as usual today but it sets things up nicely for when we eventually meet again hopefully not another 9 years this time

I doubt very much it was drink that was inside it!! At least it wasn't like a Ligue 1 game where full on brawls and match abandonments have happened after players have been struck with projectiles. Twice in games featuring Marseille in fact (although both times it was a Marseille player getting hit).

Great performance, would have loved to see Rak Sakyi play some minutes. Disappointing that some Millwall fans acting like morons (chanting against Gallagher, booing the knee etc..) They try to justify booing of the knee saying it is hijacked by BLM and why Zaha refuses to do it. Wilf does not boo anyone when he does not do it so it is not comparable. Even if that was true, it is disrespectful to your team mates who believe in the gesture. People that boo taking the knee, other national anthems etc are just moronic. Millwall players don't do the knee because the club know there will be boos every frigging match. Simple as.

If VAR was in use Millwall would have had a lot more bookings and possibly a sending off. We were deserved winners and that first 15 minutes of the second half we battered them. As for their fans they are just living on past notoriety and “come on down to the Den”. What a load of old bollocks.

With respect I am not too sure about that.Mateta was offside but then moved the ball back to Gallagher who then found Olise and the defence had a time to reset.Perhaps "Passages of play" etc would have entered the equation. I agree

Palace fans condemning Millwall fans for a homophobic chant. Wow. Your too scared for the train chant seemed odd when we mostly went by train.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

It’s the way football is played now. In 5 years time it will just be the way the game is played universally with the modern footballer and youngsters playing this way. Amateur and youth teams play like this or are attempting to play this way currently. There are more players/defenders who are comfortable on the ball.

I said it up the thread and will repeat even though it appears / is a weak excuse. Playing surface. How many over hit passes in the first half? Would they have over run on a prem quality pitch? Are the pitches even different? Had they not overrun there could have been a handful of one-on-ones with the keeper and a very different first half. That said if you keep getting it wrong why wait till half time to change tactics?
