We out muscled Spurs to win that and starved Kane of the ball all game. With the extra players that we will need as we start to pick up yellow cards and suspensions will happen as we press teams more.

All round great performance, Spurs well just go to their forum to find out why they are named “ the fighting Cock”

Two things.

1. With our best result in ages why split hairs and engage in slanging matches over opposing views about one of our players ? Don't slag off - celebrate for goodness sake !

2. After this match I trust the long held view by many that Jon Moss is Clattenburg personified may now be laid to rest. He, like Palace, had a good game.

I agree about Moss, one of the referees I have never rated but thought he was excellent. Handled the Zaha incident well and seemed to take no notice of Kane’s constant moaning. Thought he should have booked Alli

Indeed there is but you see far more when you are actually at a game. Benteke may well have been a complete waste of money, but I was commenting on his performance yesterday. He held the ball up and linked the play well. He had a good game. As for my spelling that hasn’t stopped me in a near 40 year career in the City. I read your posts on this site and appreciate they are your opinion however I think most of what you post is complete bollox.
Anyway I thoroughly enjoyed yesterday’s game and thought as a team we were excellent.

We completely nullified Spurs, scored 3 good goals, and played attractive possession based football - what's not to like? Guaita had nothing to do, he could have strung up a hammock between the posts!
Everyone had a good game, contributing to an excellent team victory

Joel Ward might have lost some pace but he is still the first player to reach whoever has just scored and join in the celebrations.

Whenever Palace post a "on this day" video from anytime over the past few years and someone scores you will always fined Joel the first to the celebration.

I'm so Palace I don't even know it

One was a penalty, of course, but that came at the end of a great attacking move.

Incidentally, how the Spurs players had the gall to argue with the referee regarding the penalty award is beyond me. Whether you agree with the laws as they are currently interpreted or not, under that interpretation that was as clear a penalty as any you will see, yet the referee was surrounded by protesting Spurs players - and for a prolonged period. No yellow cards for dissent, though.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

And who was at the front of the queue every time moaning to the ref - Harry Kane.

He was just defending his team and club like any good captain would, at least they didn't all surround the ref like the good old days, thought considering how frustrated he was he held his behaviour excellently.

After following Palace from afar for 50 odd years and never seeing a home game I finally made it to Selhurst Park yesterday. I might come back again! What a day! Best 500 quid I’ve ever spent! :-)
