They won at Everton 2-0 about three weeks ago and they outplayed them from start to finish much much more then they did us today, Fulham have been playing wonderful keep ball for most of season and they do not deserve to be in the situation they find themselves ...same as Brighton lol

I would agree that they are a pretty good side, but it shows just how low we have sunk that we can't compete with them on an even level. Okay we got a point, but we never looked like getting three.

Why would you want a transition period with a manager that has a totally different style. All they would do is argue tactics, or Parker would show too much respect for Roy and end up ruining his own style of play.

Sometimes that works. Roy was arguably the best manager Finland ever had, even looking at the stats, until the new guy lifted from the U-23 national team lifted them to Euros.

And yes, the same "negative game" arguments were in play at that point. Limited resources are limited resources, be it club or country.

Desperately hanging on again, this time for a single point. Somehow we are scraping our way to enough points to stay up. The last match I actually enjoyed watching was the 5-1 win at West Brom - plus the last two minutes at Brighton. Gary Cahill is back at his best and a good thing too otherwise we would have no chance to getting a result. I suppose we will scrape through to the summer when Palace face massive decisions about the future, with so many players out of contract and Roy too.

We could do with the crowds coming back - they would have got rid of Mr Hodgson by now as he would have been regularly booed off the pitch after our abysmal home performances and even Parish could not ignore the derision.

They say (or was it Roy Hodgson) 'beware of what you wish for' - well all I can say is that I wish for something better than this and being laughed at as the worst PL team with little skill, no creativity and persistent negative tactics.

It is beyond embarrassing.

Our first corner (Maybe the only one!) was in the 79th minute.
Not too much creativity as usual and Eze was anonymous.

Yes, but I think we are running out of old-school English managers.

We've already had Bruce, Allardyce, Pulis, Warnock, Hodgson.

Does Mourinho belong in the Dinosaur club yet?

Good point. Although I personally do not count Sam "I am not a crook" Allardyce. I wanted him gone the day after he took over.

I'm really hoping all of these decisions are being made right now.

We can't exactly wait till July 1st to sit around a table and decide how to bring the average age down.

It's my birthday on Wednesday. I'll give myself a treat and will watch Masterchef, Coronation Street and Love Island Australia.

Indeed.

Some credit should go to our backline as yet again they were given little time to breathe between attacks from the opposition.Admittedly there were occasions when they brought that upon themselves by poor clearances, but they did a good stopping job.

Be careful what you wish for, there are many teams like Charlton/Stoke/Bolton/Sunderland for example who took the route your asking us to take. The financial stakes are huge in the PL, if we are relegated all that is lost and I for one certainly do not want to see this football club fade away in the lower leagues. Four points from the last two games whilst not very pretty to watch has increased our changes of survival in the PL and I'm very happy with that!

Sadly, this is how I see it too. Since football sold itself to the megadosh men this is the reality for smaller clubs like us. IMHO. it's imperative that we retain our PL status for as long as possible if we are going to take our club forward. Yes, you get your teams like Fulham, Norwich, Leeds, Bournemouth etc. who play better football but their longevity in the PL is questionable. Others like those you have mentioned have sunk to levels where one doesn't expect to see them back in the PL for donkey's years.

I want to see our club become an established PL club which will play more progressive football as we become more secure in this league. It will take time. Given my age, I may not be around when that happens, but I want to die knowing that my club is still up there mixing it with the best.

We have 33 points, are still 10 points clear of relegation. None of the teams below us (apart from Baggies) have so far made up any ground on us during this round of matches and judging by the current score of 3-0 to Spurs, Burnley certainly aren't going to either.

This, but with the asterisk that bringing the age down cannot be the only qualifier. Cahill has shown in the years after Chelsea told him he is too old, that he is in fact not for us. Case-by-case I say. But at least try to buy young when possible, which seems good with Eze & Mateta. Also I like Mitchell coming in as well.
