Check out ASPFCs post early in the thread as to why we played with such negative defensive tactics

Those tactics were moments away from stealing all 3 points and leaving us in 6th.

Get all the good signigs and play with verve and excitement... and you are 3 nil down to spuds in minutes.

I am not happy and we were cr@p but people need to take a reality check. Burnley and us - the method of the under resourced.

Mate Burnley play 10x better football then us yes they're solid defensively but they create chances were just pure s***e to watch.

I'm all for playing defensively but I think you need to do more than:
-give up almost all possession to your opponent
-play most of the game in your own end
-allow them to freely pummel shots at your goal most of the game without responding.
I don't care how good you are defensively, if you play that way at some point they're going to score. We were just lucky it was only one.

I think Hodgson's anti football destroys any confidence a player might have. We are seeing the results of seasons of negativity this season, but nevermind, Gareth Southgate is just round the corner

race to the bottom then - Moyes versus Hodgson, different styles, same outcome because we can't survive a season placing so much pressure on the back four. This is why we get so many injuries in that department. Joe Ward had a decent game (by his standards)other than the error that led to the goal BUT he will always be a liability.

Geez, what do they do in training? I know they do train because I've seen the videos.

Tactically, Roy is 10 - 15 years behind the development, whereas Potter is on par. Our players are better than Brightons, but Roy makes them worse.
With todays opposition much worse.

I wholeheartedly concur with these sentiments.
Absolutely dreadful football.

Indeed SP may be surprised how little money he gets from PPV. If he was satisfied watching this, he has to sell up. One bright spot, we didn’t waste money on Sarr or Benrahma but may have done in Eze. Obviously his defending not good enough to warrant a game.
Wasn’t FDB sacked for not changing his ways?

So you think that's the best we can do? And we weren't playing Spurs. If that IS the best we can do we will be relegation certainties.

If Jairo is dropped, I'm going to flip. But I actually expect it. Roy 'we were unlucky'.
