How can RH hold on to his job ! Susannah Reid has more chance than we long suffering supporters of convincing SP to get a grip Today Benteke’s red card was the final straw of a shameful performance - carry on like this the stewardship of Crystal Palace will be a laughing stock - weak management ,poor coaching and overpaid ageing players are the root cause CPFC are facing the next 3 months which will decide the destiny of remaining in the premiership or relegation in 2021 - replace our deadwood players and current management ,sell Zaha ,bring in young hungry players and we will have a chance of success otherwise we are doomed to failure

Terrible performance to day, but lets not get carried away, we have a major problem in one main area, midfield, the front three are getting crap service whilst the defence are being put under pressure by stupid free kicks being given away, Riderweld and Meyer whilst not giving away free kicks, actually passed the ball much better, as for Roy, be careful what you wish for, personally i think he will leave at the end of this season

If the players are tired (No idea why they would be after a three month break) or have clocked out for the season, then any manager worth his salt would react by replacing them with fresh players who have the desire to prove themselves.

Not even bothered if we get humped 5-0, just give the young lads and fringe players an opportunity and hopefully they'll actually show some heart rather than that boring, passionless s***show we saw today.

GK - Guaita
LB - Mitchell
CB - Dann
CB - Woods
RB - Kelly
DM - Riedewald
MF - Meyer
MF - Pierrick
LW - Zaha
RW - Townsend
FW - Ayew

Yes, I was hoping it was an ironic post, but I’m not convinced.

Even when the team perform badly you have to accept there are going to be some good individual displays. I e seen numerous people criticise Sakho. That’s just wrong. He has been really good the last two games.

Wait and see when he gets the transfer requests from Luka, Zaha, Benteke, Sakho, Guita, PVA. I have supported a Roy all season because of our poor squad but he is done now. The trigger will be pulled soon.

i just think people need to keep their emotions in check.

of course today was poor, and the next 3 games wont be any better...were on the beach, safe with nowt to play for.

Roy has, again...kept us up spending f*** all money and has just signed a 1 year extension for next year.

SP isnt going to entice a manager this summer offering next to no transfer budget to improve the squad, but Roy is obviously happy to stay another year, and he will keep us up again next year...thats all that matters.

Lets not get above our stations expectation wise.eh?

Yep, seems reasonable, I’d probably revert to 4-4-2 with that team and get Ayew and Zaha playing in free forward roles with Townsend and Pierrick providing the width. Unfortunately they probably never practice anything except 4-3-3 so I guess that would be expecting too much.

I think Roy knows it's over. He'll say farewell at the seasons end, having kept us up. Fair enough.
The problem the next manager has is rebuilding a squad that is old and lacking in any pace and flair in 2/3 months and with no money.
Things will be very tough next season unless someone comes in and can galvanise a very flat squad and sadly, club.
It's a huge risk as we all know (FDB), but there has to be a point where the club takes it. Even if that means a cycle of relegation etc
Very sad to see the lack of understanding between the players today and a lack of leadership or pride. Maybe this needed to happen to wake the club up and get things in motion for the next phase.

A good post.

I broadly agree with the comments but I am not convinced that we will avoid that dreaded relegation trapdoor next season given that we have an ageing squad which needs replacing, there is precious little transfer value to be had from them and our coffers will hardly be filled to the brim for replacements.
