Look back on this thread. There have been plenty of links for you look at. Guido Fawkes has been investigating this and if this type of investigation had been done by one of your crackpot, leftie blogs, you would no doubt be praising it as a fine example of investigative journalism. Do you view the reports on so-called Tory expenses irregularities as 's*** stirring'? Do you think Corbyn and the broad left is beyond scrutiny? To quote Nick on this...... Nothing to see? They have broken electoral financial rules to gain advantage in a general election. That is against the law and undemocratic.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Labour should be scrutinised, as should everyone. Don't you find it strange that Baroness Warsi former Tory chair has complained that Goldsmiths campaigns was racist. Yet the coverage is minimal.

How many of those are for criticising Israeli policy and how many for actual anti semitism? The lines have become very blurred between the two. As for criticising those who posted images of Israel superimposed onto the USA, the image was first used by a Jewish scholar, funny that the article doesn't mention this. Does that mean he's anti semetic too?

I think it is pretty disgusting and hypocritical that you are doing this.

Haven't said that there haven't been cases, but I do believe the issue has been over exaggerated by the media for political means. If the media were that worried about racist comments, how come Boris got away with some very iffy language in the past yet became mayor? Had he been Labour he would have been hounded out of politics.

It's all a conspiracy, isn't it Gusset? Boris did rightly get castigated in the press for his comments. But he is one man. Labour have reportedly suspended 50 people. It is a different case than Boris and does appear to be significant problem, hence the publicity.

High ranking Israeli officer criticises aspects of Israeli society. [Link] Is it at all possible to call him an anti-semite? What else can he be called by those who think any scrutiny of Israel has anti-semitic undertones?

Michael, is he lauding Hitler in his comments or over exaggerating the Jewish role in slave trade to protray a negative image of Jewish people? You know this is the language that is being rightly being condemned as being used by certain Labour members and you know that people are not saying that Israel, as a state, is beyond reproach or criticism. However the language being used by many Labour members is unacceptable.

I am sure there are some that would call him an anti-semite if he weren't Jewish himself which, arguably, tells us some are being labelled that when they are nothing of the sort. I am not defending anyone in Labour btw. I am just highlighting a potential flaw when it comes to accusations for even the slightest linguistic blip. Criticising religious land-stealing nutcases and some Israeli Gov policy should be fair game and is not anti-semitic imo but abusing Jewish people/Judaism per se is. There has to be a line otherwise real anti-semitism will be buried and that is very dangerous.
