Without meaning to be paranoid it feels as though if Benteke had scored the overhead kick he’d have been booked and sent off for dangerous play.

This is a fair and reasoned argument for his place in the team. If the manager feels that his comparative technical ability is offset by technical ability then that's fine.

In fairness, it was only a small laps in concentration and that happens from time to time. I was just trying to point out that often when "worldies" are scored, its normally down to their being no pressure on the attacking player. If it was Sakho, he may be getting ripped apart by some.

Normally, people justify Roy's position because he is from Croydon, old, untalented, and white (talent being the only relevant point in a persons failings - but people seek comfort in using the other two as an excuse).
