Streaky season. Are we the team that won 4 in a row or the one that lost 7 in a row? I say we're a 15th-in-the-table team that with good luck can finish 11th-12th next season, and with bad luck can go down.

During the restart we had absolutely nothing to play for, while most of our opponents did. Even Roy didn't have much to play for, given a pair of American owners who probably don't care about anything but avoiding relegation. If they're not willing to pay for some younger, fresher legs, though, down we'll go.

Hodgson just said we controlled the first half and he cannot criticize the team for effort. Wow!!!!

He’s right about the first point and it was lack of quality rather than effort that undid us

the buck stops with Roy
He cannot move on from his only tactic plan A, hes clueless with subs,, Townsend should have gone off and Perrick given run out, were 2-) down!! hes Clueless.
Other managers give it a go,, not our Roy!!

No manager can keep this squad up again next season. We need a major influx of talent, all over the squad.

Roy isn't blameless, but I think Freedman deserves most of the blame for our old inept roster.

Just think about Meyer, Camarasa, and Sorloth. These were all players brought in with great fanfare and big spends, supposed to make a difference, and none of them did anything. There's a major disconnect between Freedman and Roy, and unless they turn it around in the next 5-6 weeks, we're likely going down next year.

It certainly looks grim at the moment. I guess with our best 13 players available fully fit and motivated playing the style of the manager we can probably survive. However next season they will be older more likely to get injured and less motivated. A change of manger will achieve nothing more with these players.
The owners are now the only people that can stave off a difficult next season. Do they add just a couple to freshen the squad or go for change of manager and players. I guess we all know the answer! It is going to be tough supporting Palace next season. COYP

Pierrick ?? Do you really think he is the answer to our problems. We haven’t a single player on the bench to give it a go with. Same crap every week by fans moaning about lack of attacking changes. We have no bloody attacking players on the bench. Pierrick will not be seen near the bench next season or any other season for that matter.

Here we go again “Pierrick given a run out” and do as much damage to wolves like he did against Derby?

So why not put in Meyer, Riediwald etc the last couple of games. What’s the worst that can happen? We don’t score and lose?

Try forgetting you watched the game and reading that interview on BBC sport tomorrow. The review of the game will be kind to Roy, he just managed to write it.

I think that disconnect between what he says and what actually happened is part of the reason people think he shouldn’t be held to blame for anything.

Bournemouth would have never gone down without so many injuries. And I think we're in for more and more injuries for our older players (I mean they're all old but REALLY old, i.e. over 33). It will be very difficult next season against the top 6-8 for obvious reasons and the rest (Burnley, Sheffield, WH, maybe Leeds) because they do add quality and have blatantly more competent, adaptable, and daring managers. Watford will probably be poor next year, and Newcastle if they don't get fancy money. Plus 1 or 2 from the Championship. A sad scrap all round.
