That is a possibility.

I remember Charlie Cooke many decades ago who's footballing brain was far superior to his team mates and he had a similar problem

That wasn't the only problem Charlie had as I recall!

He supposedly had a great affinity to vodka but he's still around at 77 so it obviously didn't do him any harm

I agree

The issue I see is he could be to good which at times it looked like he was expecting people to link up with him and pass then move but other players just look like they dont have the brain.

Stick him in a better team he would fit right in I think this is why roy doesnt like him he wants very rigid play.

Sadly, yes - and Meyer has suffered in the same way - by not being on the same negative wavelength as some of his team mates.

I’m glad some fellow Palace fans recognise his efforts on Thursday- what a goal saving tackle! It’s a shame we can’t fit such a good passer into the team regularly somehow.

agreed but whilst ever Roy goes for his two defensive midfielders he will struggle to get a chance further up the field.

Second that! Would like to see all of Camarasa, Meyer and Riedewald playing - at the same time.

You probably need Pards back for that to happen!

Finally I feel able to say what I’ve wanted for months and months now this guy has proved his class.

What a baller. Intricate touches that just make me smile. Can actually kick a ball properly too in most scenarios which is a rare commodity it seems..!
Imagine what he’d have been like by now if we’d actually played the guy for a few months at the start of his Palace career. If he carries on playing he will only get better and be a massive asset.
Cannot for the life of me see why he would not get tuned up to a midfield role.
his attempted one two’s and rotation with players make me think we can be a little more proactive with him more involved in the play.

Must start signing his name soon he deserves it!

Seconded ! Great to watch. Now what does this say about Roy’s rejects. As I recall wan bissaka only got a chance due to ward injury. Camarasa unused, Meyer, not preferred, riedewald, well almost offloaded to Germany. Could be we have a toy problem?

Best thing about Riedewald for me is his composure. Seems to be one of the few players we have that doesn't panic the second they're in position for more than 3 seconds.

He was one of our best players today but perhaps at fault for the cross that led to their goal. I

I love Roy..but the blame stops with him. He will never play jairo/max/McCarthy etc etc..he just doesn’t like them...we all know they won’t be playing now if ‘roys’ team was fit. It pains so much to say that Roy has to go if we are to progress..it that simple.
