You read the same Guardian article this week which narrowed racism down to oppression?

Sorry but these attitudes lead to all of those things.

No. Not at all. Haven't read The Guardian for years. But since I was a kid my view of what constitutes actual racism - not the ubiquitous mud-slinging type which is uttered at every convenience by whomever - has not changed.

Yes , you are right. From little acorns and all that. But to be a proper racist you have to demonstrate something more than just an obnoxious comment. Tarantino would be classified as a racist if it were not so.

Not so. He made racialist comments. Proper racism, the real stuff, is all about exclusion/ violence/haranguing or all three in some cases.

Ron was being a racialist prick but he's no racist.

slavery was pretty inclusive

I totally agree with you on this point.

We are at risk of effectively removing free speech.

What is telling is who is and who is not seemingly constantly offended.

I commend you on your pragmatism.

No, Tarantino isn't racist this week although you must have seen the outrage about Hateful Eight over the language used by Samuel L Jackson's character.

This week we're talking about why white men don't get the Beyonce album.

Ultimately there's no point analysing right and wrong, because someone else will tell you and the concensus is that we're not entitled to do so. Which undermines any non racial prejudice anyone may have been on the receiving end of.

A very good read defending Corbyn that unpicks a lot of the background of this story.

You would do yourself a favour if you admitted Labour, and the broader left, had a problem with anti semitism and dropped this crap that it is a conspiracy.

Let's just be honest.

Labour are in bed with ethnic minorities. Some of them aren't very keen on some of the others. Muslim members of the Labour party are likely to have a problem with the Jewish faith.

What did we expect was going to happen?

You would do yourself a favour and realise that a lot of the left and others are critical of Israeli policy towards Palestine. But that doesn't make them anti semetic.

A lot of the right are critical of Israel. Being critical of Israel is not being debated here.

What is being debated is the plethora of Labour supporters, elected officials and 'senior representatives' who think it is ok to use anti Semetic language in the press and on social media.

And you are grasping at straws because you cannot get your head around the fact that the left can be just as racist as any other section of society.

Plethora? Do you have a list of names and their positions? I'm sure Guido Fawkes (the main s*** stirrers behind this) must have published one.

Look back on this thread. There have been plenty of links for you look at.

Guido Fawkes has been investigating this and if this type of investigation had been done by one of your crackpot, leftie blogs, you would no doubt be praising it as a fine example of investigative journalism. Do you view the reports on so-called Tory expenses irregularities as 's*** stirring'? Do you think Corbyn and the broad left is beyond scrutiny?
