Sorry to be a bit thick, but who are these teams? Agreed, I thought Villa might struggle, but they have invested well by the looks of things. So my three are Fulham, West Brom and ( here's the optimistic bit ! ) - Burnley / Sheff Utd / Newcastle

Answer is probably yes. However as we all know, 1 or 2 injuries and we are straight back in it again not being able to score goals.

For all his shortcomings, we really cant let Sakho go. Cahill and Tomkins out for how long we dont know, we are thin at centre half. Looks like we need 4 half fit centre halves to rotate and see us through this season. This month it seems. Still cant let Sakho go though. Or Dann.

wasn't that in the context of why prem clubs should/shouldn't bail out lower league clubs? - as opposed To why there is no transfer kitty.. To end on a less than positive note, I'm not sure who those 2 worse teams than us are now after this weekend... Fulham, WBA? Burnley maybe? As I said elsewhere, this weekends results are an aberration. Only a fool would predict based on that. In 6 months time Sky will be showing a boring slot on where it all went wrong for Villa.

I thought we made a strong start in the market and got what we needed in early. I had thought that might be enough to just tip us over into the top 10. However, having watched Leeds, the improvements at Villa and Everton, the early success of Wilson at Newcastle and the dynamism (if vulnerability) of Brighton, I do now think we could do with one more signing of real quality just to give the team a lift and add some positivity. Prior to Saturday the football had improved, but whether due to our or Chelsea's tactics we ended up with a huge chasm between defence and attack that we never managed to fill leaving Wilf and Ayew isolated. In the future, if we stick with 442, then we need that option of a target man to help get us out of defence (similar to what Burnley do). Whether that is Tekkers, or whether we sign a new big man, I think we have to be realistic in that sometimes we will need to be more direct. Personally I don't think Benrahma solves any of our problems. I actually think Walcott, despite his detractors, makes more sense simply due to his pace and the way we play. I'll be hoping for more than expecting any news today

Villa have two things we don't have a creative midfield playmaker and an out and out goal scorer

Villa had better watch out, the last team to wallop Liverpool were Watford ! Now they are relegated and can't even beat Reading. The club have done more than we could ask in the present uncertainties.

However we do have Batshuayi on our books with an option to buy who was effective for us and it look like we will still have the tall powerful, great in the air Benteke who sadly for us never scores goals any more! We do have a creative playmaker in Eze. My entirely NNITK theory is that we will finally sign

Yes agree, 95% of premiership clubs are owned by billionaire, what I cannot get my head around is a club like Brighton who as from last year are £311 million in debt of gratitude loans from their chairman, only Manure have a bigger debt.
