And now The Athletic has done the research (As of March) since Roy Hodgson’s first Premier League match in charge in September 2017, #CPFC had made 9.9 open-play crosses per game, fewest of any current top-flight side & third-lowest overall. Benteke has 4 of his 6 goals this season from crosses Chatting to a toffees fan and he endorsed your comment. Great attack but no midfield.

The Americans have been actively trying to sell their own stake since 2019 as they want out so they are unlikely to want to invest more and clearly Parish seems not want to put anymore of his wealth in, so we are in a bit of delima in that we need new players in key positions but whilst there seems to be little interest from alternative investors cash may well be tight. This will mean if Roy does leave it will difficult to attract a new quality Manager as team investment will be an important part of his decision to come to this club as their own reputation will also be on the line! Have faith, the Americans will know well enough a business on the up is much more attractive than one going backwards. They'll have to put something in eventually to convince someone we're a project on the up.

We had two games where we never got into the opposition box.

Why have we got a negative spend? Because we have no money and no reserves and have to sell to balance the books. You've just said it yourself, in the last 12 months we've committed to spending nearly 40 mil across only 2 players. You don't splash your full budget on 2 players.

No it doesn't mean we are selling more players than we are buying. If the chart is correct it means the value of Originally posted by steven_t92
This means we're selling more players than we're buying, it'll flip drastically the other way this summer when a load leave on a free and we have to spend to replace them. We've got money, no doubt about that, you don't spend 20m on eze and potentially the same on mateta if you have nothing else in reserve as you'd never spend your full budget in case anything goes wrong.

Which two players? Eze I can see, Mateta is on loan with no commitment to buy. Who is the second? Originally posted by steven_t92

Always got something different to say haven't you, it's a 15million option to buy at the end of the 18 months and a commitment after he makes a certain number of starts. If you are telling me he won't make those starts across 18 months then you're having a nightmare

As for Arsenal, we are currently unbeaten in the last FIVE league games against them (and should have beaten them at the Emirates back in Jan). As for Citeh and Liverpool, you're probably right - we'll get beaten and possibly a bashing.
