You really believe that IS and radical islam are things you can negotiate with??? Yes. I'm not sure radical islam is something you can negotiatie with, but individuals are. IS and the other cretinous organisations are all made up of individuals. I read a book about negotiation and peace with cases taken from lots of global conflicts, pretty much all resolved only through negotiation, even though everyone said it was impossible. Sure, there will be some who are just psychopathic nutters and they need to be imprisoned or shot.

It is said that some 3,000 are under surveillance. Perhaps they should be 'Rounded up' and held in detention centres for investigation and perhaps involve muslim leaders as well to try and change their nihilistic creed.Get them off the streets ! I'm sure darned 'Civil Liberties' groups would be in outrage at such action.Enough is enough - we HAVE to approach this from a different angle.

Not sure I care. Pass a law. For a start, you can do it defacto by stripping them of citizenship once they leave for their beheading holidays. Edited by davenotamonkey (04 Jun 2017 5.28pm) While I agree with you in principle, the problem is that it's pretty hard to know what they're doing before they go, and if you passed a law you'd have to be pretty sure that it wouldn't be abused in the future. Someone deciding all people with usernames beginning with dave should be exiled, for example.

Erm didn't we have the army on the streets directly after the Manchester attack? Your anti Corbyn rants are bizarre and lack any substance. No, as I remember they took over the guarding of institutions freeing up armed police for other duties

The last two posts (tome and Jamie). I f*cking give up. This nation doesn't deserve to survive if these are representative viewpoints.

I think they would be outraged Willo, but the reason is because such action is likely to further radicalise those groups, making us less safe. That's why the rights are important. People are comparatively unlikely to go beserk with a machete if they have something to live for. People who are psychopaths or similar need to be detained though.

Edited by Cucking Funt (04 Jun 2017 5.36pm) Giving up doesn't suit your style old bean. It's not as if we've set out a negotiating position which says we accept f*cken sharia in London.

I ought to just stick to talking about Palace which, after all, is why I joined this site in the first place. I don't want to end up falling out with people that I'd otherwise respect and like.

In theory I have no objection to rounding up any suspect, locking them up, and throwing away the key. Even if a few people turn out to be innocent, taking way the freedom of potential innocent people is acceptable if it is to protect the lives of definitely innocent people. In practice it think if we start rounding all suspected terrorist it would result in a flurry of last ditch attacks before they get caught.
