Why does it matter what anyone wears or looks like? He's not harming anyone and Izzard is a fellow fan, who does a lot for charity and I'm sure wouldn't judge you at all for looking like the cnut you must be. My son is gay, not because he wants to be, but because your God in your Bible made him that way. At junior school he was picked on probably by children like yours for not being one of the lads.At senior school he was bullied and beaten and almost lost his life when he became anorexic because it was his way of dealing with the bullies and their taunts. He was unsure how his dad, a 6'1 16 stone man's man, would react to him being gay. I gave him a hug and a kiss put on my Palace shirt and took him up to Selhurst. Wish I'd worn the wife's pink stilletoes and bumped into you and that mouthy t*** at Wembley

you have a son to be proud of and he has a father to.

those telling others what makes a man are the ones with masculinity so fragile they spend their life kicking others down or saying "they asked for it". ignore the t***s m8 your doing fine.

Well, maybe I was too much of a pussy but seeing the p*llock ended up with a red I feel vindicated Les.

Sometimes people on here have no idea what it feels like to be anyone else than themselves. And as a result they can cause genuine hurt. In this case I reckon you aren't bothered but it's good you let him know he was totally out of order.

I'd say good for you and good for your son but honestly, in this day and age and living round here, I wouldn't expect any other reaction. Most of us live with diversity all our lives, welcome it and enjoy the variety. A few people don't, well that's a shame for them. It must be very dull to live a monochrome life.

If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong

I think it comes down there are people who are unhappy in their own self, who then take power over their own lives by infringing other people lives - typically violently or through threatening language; and people who have found happiness in their own lives, and are just comfortable in who they are, no matter if they're different.

I know which one of those is more of a threat to others.

How very well said, jamie.

I'd give him loads of abuse. Not for how he looks but for being a gobby moron. Did you see his performance on Question Time? He was embarrassing.

Liberal and progressive, is kind of bias towards the middle of the political spectrum though, which is really kind of unbias.

I think a lot of people tend to think its bias, because its an oppositional point to their own personal biases and prejudices.

Take Gay Marriage, the liberal progressive point, is that all citizens should have the same rights as other citizens.

Progressive, Liberal Bias, is the kind of double speak, because being liberal and progressive are neither negative nor biased traits. They define a point in a spectrum from which the calculation of deviation (bias) is made.

Let's not get bogged down in definitions. It makes it less easy to make sweeping statements. Boo!

I'd have thought that gay marriage was widely supported by all points on the political compass aside from a few hard line old fashioned conservatives and assorted religious loons.

Exactly. He can be as gay as he wants and dress up as whatever he wants and no one has a problem with that, but according to some on here the fact that he's gay and a cross dresser means he's immune from criticism?! If people have a problem with Izzard it's because he's an obnoxious prick. His performance on question time summed him up to me, totally intolerant to anyone who has an apposing view to his. It's not homophobic to point that out. If he was straight and not a cross dresser it would still be the case FFS.

Ive seen multiple people say judge him on views not his appearance but i dont think anyone has said what youve claimed here. on here theres a lot of "according to some.." and "its the very same people that.." followed by something noone has ever said. we should engage with not invent. he's not even gay anyway.. he just likes to dress like lady penelope and spout out s***e on question time.

The problem is that some people made it clear that was the problem they had with him.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.
