Just when it looked like 2020 couldn’t shocks us any further a Benteke brace! I’ll admit we were very fortunate with the red however we have been in that situation before and struggled so very pleased after two very disappointing performances and results. Pleased for Benteke and as much deserved criticism as he gets the thought of a Benteke revival, however unlikely, is a very exciting one. I still thank my lucky stars every day Wilf is a Palace player. COYP!!!!!!!!!! Can enjoy the rest of the days action now!
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

This win papers over nothing. West Brom were the better team before the sending off! We were on top for the first ten minutes or so then we struggled, they had attacked mostly down our right with reasonable success but their first great ball down the other side caused mayhem, I agree our defending isn't good and after we were 4-1 and 5-1 we still made awful mistakes and we were generally too laid back everywhere after that sending off, we still have problems when teams close us down so yes in a way you're quite right, but you cannot say how our performance was going to continue in the second half if we were playing eleven, we wore them down and they just couldn't cope with us in the second half, but a red card is always going to kill a game of football, I'd introduce the sinbin tomorrow because that incident wasn't deservedly a red. Expect at least 2 of their managers gone by Xmas, if not all 3. Will Pards phone ring in Bulgaria or BFS's "retirement" home ? Good springboard for Spud's game. Wilf and Tekkers confident, as will the other players. Let's see how they get on against the Arse later. COYP !!

I thought it was a nasty incident in real-time. I think that’s fair enough Willo but I am not convinced at all! Even so, regardless of whether it was deserved on not however I would still assert that them going down to ten completely changed the game and, luckily, we made the absolute most of it!

In my humble estimation the VAR and Paul Tierney came to the correct conclusion. Edited by Willo (06 Dec 2020 2.16pm)

Perhaps the best thing to be taken from this is the hope that now Teckers will feel rejuvenated and his long lost confidence restored. Wilf has just made himself very attractive to potential buyers (the AR5E)
I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything. |
