On the U.S. broadcast, they said that Eze's corner was his first of the season. Is that true? Was it his first free kick also?

If both are true, one wonders if a player has ever chalked up an assist and a goal on his first two set-piece opportunities.

McCarthur MOTM, Riedewald, Dann, Eze and PVA not far behind.

Leeds are a great team to watch, but the arselicking of Bielsa is tedious. At this level, they are an easy team to work out and Roy masterfully did so today. We will truly see whether he is the tactical genius based on how he bounces back from this, if you don't change things up when it's clearly not working for you then you get what you deserve.

I agree. He has been battered 4-1 twice on the trot and still he doesn’t get slated for it. We live in a world where people don’t even watch teams play and have their own views they just follow the media. Leeds are a good team to watch but are far from the team some people would have us believe.

I agree. It is an awful and flawed system. As Mourinho said in a press conference following their game against the weed, he preferred how it was pre VAR and having seen how much damage it is doing to the game he wants to ditch it and revert to Goal Line Technology and the referee plus his (or her) two assistants.

Wilf, Eze, Jairo, Andros, great attacking potential. Why cant we do that every week?
I also though Scott Dann was excellent and Clyne was 100% better than last week. Jeff Schlupp was very composed when he came on - a very experienced option off the bench.
Don't change the team Roy unless you have to - although Cahill seems to be coming back - so Dann will be sacrificed?
A great day and very happy!!

What a difference a week makes....I’m still hoping for Roy to go, hopefully end of season when he’s surely had enough of setting up teams for defeat each week. We’ve got the players to do be dominating teams with possession and go for attacks as well. It was a good result, however I feel we did have the luck today. If it was evens on the luck then it wouldn’t have been so flattering for us. I still think we need a manager to push us forward as club and grow us into a team to play consistent football. At the moment we’re up and down. Yes we got 3 points against a Leeds team that I honestly thought would walk all over us... hang on. They did. Dominated possession, gave us a goal and if var was working would be a different result. One day we might win a match and actually sit back and say we scored some cracking goals, dominated play and looked unstoppable. Here’s hoping .

Roy got the team selection spot on today.

Leeds are relatively easy to play against so a good game for Eze to come into.

Yes, we had a spot of luck with the Bamford ' goal ', but the rules as they are + VAR result in breaks going for and against you. That combination is ruining the game.

Anyway, time to enjoy a Palace win and a Trump defeat - today is a good day....

Dann can't play week in and out but with a break he should be fit and should start against Burnley.

Great result. Ayew definitely more suited to us than Batshui .
Eze was great. Good overall performance, think that Clyne bottled it for their goal, should have gone through the ball , think he was worried about giving a penalty away, poor decision.
4-1, that’s a hiding.

Well it’s a game of opinions but I think we gain more than we lose through PVA’s involvement.
He’s the only one of our defenders that moves forward with purpose and provides attacking impetus.
He’s been with the club for a while and frankly I can’t recall him costing games through being targeted by the top teams.
He occasionally makes stupid mistakes but not that many.
Hodgson is not given to hyperbole and acclaims him as one of the best left backs in the division.

Good to see in an improved team performance that individual performances were strong too. Clyne is improving and looking sharper and more comfortable with each game, Riedewald had another excellent game and Scott Dann was very good again. Ayew worked tirelessly and looked sharp and like Eze, his link up play with those around him was excellent. Eze looks so promising...

I have been disappointed by Clyne so far, but reckon he should now be ready to start delivering.

His arm was offside because he was pointing. The rules were followed to a tee.

The stream i was watching today showed Bamford’s arm (the sleeved part of the short sleeved shirt) to be onside. I thought the new t-shirt rule meant it was only the part above the sleeve that could be adjudged to be offside?
