full praise to Roy and the training staff for drilling into them what is needed on the pitch, those who thought Norwich was going tobe easy haven't seen them play,20 outfield players to choose from 7 injured leaves 13 to fill all positions 2 points from top 6 and people still talking about relegation and how bad our squad is,really peps start supporting them you never know you could end up enjoying our league position

Other than Newcastle away we are doing the right thing against "Teams around us" away from home in as much as we are taking points off them.

Totally fair, worst defence in PL. Couple of scalps will make no difference. Originally posted by Tickled pink
Not fair to suggest that, they have quite obviously improved ..Spurs fans will testify.

Of what I have seen of our games recently I would strongly urge that, as soon as Cahill is fit again, we drop Milivojevic. He is a bruiser with poor passing skills (lucky not to give away a goal yesterday) and his corners are metronomic in their sameness. A red card is always possible and I am not sure his leadership skills, such as they are, are helping. His free kicks on goal sometimes look potent but have yet to bear fruit. His penalties are good but we don't get many now and there are others with these skills (Ayew for example)

He breaks up the oppositions play on a regular basis and is the heart beat of the team.

I think a good example of the imbalance in our squad right now was that at one point yesterday 6 out of 10 outfield players on the pitch were central midfielders (McArthur, McCarthy, Luka, Kouyate, Riedewald, Meyer). We are fortunate that Kouyate looks comfortable at the back and that Riedewald wasn't really tested again, but we really need to address this in January. Norwich played fairly well, but I always felt confident we would get something as we controlled the midfield for most of the game. Once again our lack of forward options was really highlighted. I was really pleased for Wickham. A an aside, if Norwich go down I would love us to try and get Aarons as he looked very promising.

Thought that overall we were the better side and deserved something from the game but once again huffed and puffed without much end product. On the other had Norwich had less of the ball but looked much more of an attacking threat. We were a little fortunate that their manager took off Cantwell and Pukki as they looked more likely to nick a second goal than us equalise. Wickham has made a difference in his two sub appearances bringing more physicality and directness to the front line and is one of the few players available capable of putting his laces through the ball if he gets a sight of goal. Sakho has become so injury prone with his age it’s hard to see him lasting at the top level. Edited by Rachid Rachid Rachid (02 Jan 2020 11.42am) Edited by Rachid Rachid Rachid (02 Jan 2020 11.43am)

Those players and Roy are working miracles. So to all you negative pricks I say. Go support a new team and learn something aout football. Roy would play the same team every game regardless of injuries or number of games if he could. So your point is moot.

The players have been fantastic this season. To hear from Roy that most of the team that played at Norwich were carrying injuries, after the run of games we've had, to come back and get a point was absolutely tremendous. At the start of the season I had us down as clear relegation candidates given the squads of the other teams. It really shows the character of the players that have got us in the position we are now and the great job Roy is doing. I just hope we can find one or two players in January to help out if not I still think we could get dragged into relegation trouble.
