Also, I don't think it makes someone a "prick" to ignore someone who is trying to ponce money off them.

Yeah but in her eyes she's done nothing wrong so probably thinks now you have had a blow job your off... Anyway.. whose next on your online dating radar. Let's help narrow it down to someone suitable for a date.

Yeah but if he buys her some shoes or takes her on holiday just to appease his guilt for receiving a blowie, is he not then just making her into a prostitute against her own volition? That's probably already been discussed. Been a bit in and out of this thread!

Personally from what you have stated on here, it seems you only want them for one thing anyway.

Let's help narrow it down to someone suitable for a date. I met my wife via online dating after five or six years online. People tend to be looking for different things, from one night stands, to friends, to relationships and so on. Just like normal life. Generally I'd email people for a week or so - that way when it comes to meeting up, you've got a good idea of what their expectations are, and for a first date I'd go pretty low key, rather than a full on date. That way you get a feel for the chemistry as well, before anything goes further. My experience was it was better to be upfront about what you're looking for and your expectations etc. Some people I met, I really liked but neither of us really saw a future, but for a time it was good for both of us - Just like life in general. Don't go looking 'for love', anymore than you would if you were out in a club or bar etc. It'll find you when you least expect it. Online dating really works best as a numbers game (i.e you get to meet a lot more people and thus narrow down the odds of finding that someone).

What about gentlemen of the evening? The term "gentlemen" is definitely the wrong label for them. Same with a "Gentleman's Club". I Googled what they were and I tell you what, the stuff they get up to in one is NOT the behaviour of a bowler hat wearing cricket fan in my book.

I know, that sounds like grown up advice and a bit boring, but in the end, its a lot easier when you just talk about these things. People have very different outlooks and expectations - Plus it usually prevents them trying to kill themselves in your front garden on a Thursday night to prove their love.
