World forgets that a country's citizens vote on how it affects them and their pocket. That is simply why he is president. I could go on but all of the talk on the news channels covers this by about 3%.

Typical response. "We don't like the outcome of a democratically arrived at decision". W@nkers. All hail The Donald! Part of the fun of democracy. Free expression and protest. Of course democratically he did get less votes... Trditiponally neither side has ever shut up for four years because the other side won.

"Part of the 'fun' of democracy, free expression and protest." Dear, oh dear. You think it is 'democratic' to smash store windows and damage cars of people who have nothing to do with Trump other than perhaps having voted for him. What about the freedom of these people not to have their property damaged?

Edited by hedgehog50 (21 Jan 2017 9.48am) That's not unfair, but presumably a reasonable people would be extremely troubled by reports from The Southern Poverty Law Center that there were four hundred and thirty-seven incidents of intimidation between the election, on November 8th, and November 14th, targeting blacks and other people of colour, Muslims, immigrants, the L.G.B.T. community, and women. One woman in Colorado told the Center that her twelve-year-old daughter was approached by a boy who said, “Now that Trump is President, I’m going to shoot you and all the blacks I can find.” Edited by legaleagle (21 Jan 2017 9.57am)

I think Trump will be the worst President EVER! But only in terms of his haircut... see below. I honestly believe he will make the USA great again and he seems to like the UK and wants to sort out a Trade deal between us asap.... unlike Obama who threatened to put us at the back of the queue. Dianne Abbott doesn't like him and for me that is a ringing endorsement that Trump is okay based on her track record of picking the wrong side. All those pathetic protesters yesterday smashing windows and stuff are just sore losers that cannot abide seeing democracy in action much like the tools over here. Attachment: Trump.jpg (55.67Kb)

I'd love to agree but i can't, the IOUSA is a debt-bomb just waiting to go off. Good luck The Donald, you'll gonna need it.

However, I do believe that we are at the crux of the fourth industrial revolution and over the next ten years things are going to change considerably. There will be new ways of generating energy, new ways of manufacturing such as 4g printers, driverless cars will not only change the way that cars are bought & sold but also change finance around motors and we will see nano tech become more evolved. California still is the centre of technological development and I believe that Donald will benefit from this. How much he does, is up to him and his agenda. As previously said, I don't like the man (some of what he has done is horrible) but I do like free marketeers and people who encourage risk taking. That is how industry evolves. Let's wait and see what he does and not be bigots. Things could be better in five years time.

I was struck by his making commitments in the inaugural address does he have a visa card for his new missile system and re-building the military to start? Not a mention of how he has to find or pay for anything. So Mrs.May should get on with him well.

I'm sick of people whining about a few broken panes of glass. The same people would have stood by tutting at suffragettes as they threw rocks through windows. The fact is that minorities and oppressed people are faced with violence all the time. Austerity is violent. It kills people. It shortens lives. Change doesn't happen unless the status quo is challenged. If you're really that bothered about a global corporation's window you have picked the wrong side. I stand with the 'anarchist thugs'. Hand-wringing white liberals worried about bloody windows can jog on.

Do you want the election of Trump reversed just because you don't like the result?

But not if you are left wing, then it is deemed necessary. Like the *freedom fighters* who kill innocent people to get their message across.
