There's no difference. You're splitting hairs. You and your brothers in the trade union movement should be very concerned at such a development. Don't forget sisters I am concerned. Getting rid of people for spurious reasons to then employ someone to do the same job on lower wages is rife, especially in teaching, where those on a higher wage tier and very experienced are suddenly graded inadequate so they can be got rid of to be replaced by cheaper NQT's. However I'm digressing from your point. It is wrong, but it is not the fault of the Romanians.

Sidestepping the issue again. I criticized ISIS and the terrorists. The bloke was a loon. But friction in this country was inevitable when governments have allowed several million people of very differing cultures here in such a short time. Add to that the terrorist threat and you have a recipe for violence. As a result all you and people like you can do is fan the flames for your own political ends.

Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (18 Jun 2016 10.11pm) How are 'people like me' fanning the flames? I'd counter that the constant vilification of immigrants in the press is fanning the flames.

In fact, I made a point of saying that the bus company are taking the piss. But they are only able to do that because of the free movement of labour in the EU and they can import people to work on coolie wages, to the detriment of the local workers. In the event of Brexit, the bus company would have few places to look for staff outside the UK as immigration would be far more strictly controlled and I'm pretty sure that bus drivers wouldn't be a priority occupation.

You are a conniving little lefty Mr Gusset and you have seized an opportunity to make political gain from a tragic occurrence. If the leave campaign has done anything below the belt as regard immigration as you claim then you have trumped it times 10 with this disgusting exploitation of a woman's brutal murder. Shame, shame, shame.

Keep in mind, he's just a mentally ill man, his actions have nothing to do with being influenced by right-wing vilification of immigrants and refugees: the media told me so... The two are not mutually exclusive. He may well have been quiet and timid and lonely when presenting a certain face to friends family and people in the street. Also a photo can be made to say many things. I rarely drink but I bet you could go through my Facebook and find a pic of me holding a drink on a rare night out and use that to put an argument forward that I am a hard drinking party animal.

I take your point about blame. How can you be so sure that free movement of goods in Europe would not come with a caveat that free movement of people as part of the trade deal. We are in the wrong thread for this BTW!

The problem seems to be that if you can drive a bus and are willing to work for £9 an hour this is in some way unfair. Yet it is exactly how the market/no work permit required model is designed to work. I'm only surprised that more in lower paid jobs aren't vehemently pro exit.

But that is the point. They don't. They are just quite reasonably concerned by what mass immigration is doing to their country. And for that, they are branded as racists by idiots. This bloke is clearly unhinged and if he is a member of an extreme far right organisation, he represents next to no one.
