They seem to have been allowed to celebrate Christmas with their families. Judging by their names I very much doubt that they celebrate Christmas but all the same it was an astounding decision by the judge to let convicted rapists out on bail for a couple of months

Why am I not surprised with the recent reports about the social service and police turning their backs on these children.

Why am I not surprised with the recent reports about the social service and police turning their backs on these children. If it were 'just' turning their backs then I think we would have more than enough grounds to be enraged on but it goes way beyond that. Active collusion in many cases, these girls literally sacrificed in the name of supposed community cohesion. Several of the reports already compiled speak of files going missing from supposedly secure safes, of councillors not only being aware of allegations but actively seeking to scupper investigations and so on. And this is tip of the iceberg stuff. The number of victims are dwarfed by the huge volume of abusers and ones we see prosecuted are on the whole probably less than 10% of the actual people involved in this. A shocking state of affairs along with knowing that our politicians wish nothing more than for it all to be brushed under the carpet. In a political environment which sees people losing their jobs because of ill-thought out tweets or comments on Social Media over a decade ago Labour MP Naz Shah not only likes, but then retweets a tweet that goes.... "Those abused girls in Rotherham and elsewhere just need to shut their mouths. For the good of diversity". And her punishment? Promotion to Shadow Minister of State for Women and Equalities. This s*** goes deep. One day there has to be a reckoning.

If true this does make you wonder what the end game was. Just to let the situation continue indefinitely apparently.

If true this does make you wonder what the end game was. Just to let the situation continue indefinitely apparently. The end game was that these girls were written off. That nobody would actually care what happened to them. And that nobody in a position of power wanted to risk their careers by accusations of racism which would invariably come about should they do their jobs and investigate these cases. Pure self-interest. Perhaps from some on the left there was the notion that these girls were in someway 'payback' for all that colonial oppression but I suspect that it was ultimately more about them playing the politics game. Labour councils kept their Muslim voters happy and people on the career ladders in a variety of public services were able to continue moving upwards. With any noise just written off as the rantings of the far-right. But they let teenage girls die. We need to understand that. That these 'progressive' types who like to lecture us all allowed a kid who had a s***ty start in life to be raped and then die of a heroin over-dose, with evidence that people were injecting her with it by way of gaining control over her, and chose to not investigate. She was sacrificed. And I do not use that word lightly. As were thousands of others.

Our people seem to have an infinate capacity to suffer and be humiliated. Anyone either involved in covering up or making excuses for this is complicite.
