Fuming that we gifted it to them at the end, very silly decision to be honest to completely sit back and almost willingly decide to have an incredibly stressful ending. PV had to hold his hands up there, even though the way we played for the rest of the game was class. Didn’t fancy us as soon as he made that change, very predictable and hodgson like. PV deserves credit for our overall game though so can’t be too harsh, just very frustrated right now.

Big shout out to both Mcarthur and Mitchel tonight though. Thought they both worked so hard and did really well. Mitchel has really come on so far this season, really alert and consistently solid in defence. Really happy for him and I think he deserves huge credit. Milo I can’t help but find frustrating, I can’t lie. Loves a backwards pass almost as much as a misplaced one.

Perhaps we need to get Roy back as defensive coach. Just saying

Outmost repsect för Roy, but he would have continued to defend for 85 minutes. So would probably have been 2-0

Hopefully PV will learn from this and take a leaf from Thomas Frank at Brentford and go for the third when you are on top.Gutted that we didn’t get all three points and go above Arsenal and Villa.

Very disappointing to have that happen again but naivety like that is an inevitable drawback of lowering the average age and putting together half a new team.

Let's not forget that we have basically battered Spurs, Leicester, Brighton and Arsenal in recent weeks and we're disappointing to 'only' take 6 points from that very difficult run.

We also dominated tonight without our two best players and, once Zaha and Eze are back, I think we could start destroying teams.

We've come a long way very quickly and are 14th despite probably the hardest start to the season of any club, if games were a minute shorter we'd be in the top 10. That's hugely impressive and despite how disappointing that ending was, we're in for a great season.

His subs have been to look fantastic because his starting XI was wrong.

Olise has played cumulative 45 mins so far this season. 1 goal and 1 assist. Ayew has contributed naff all.

Tonight he got them wrong. Tomkins was clearly not the right choice to come on. Equally I am not surprised we have conceded 2 x 94th min equalisers when Kouyate has been on the pitch. He’s a f***ing liability and the s*** headed clearance tonight that gave them the corner sums him up perfectly.

Olise was injured until near the Leicester match.

Would have taken that result before the match. Like the Brighton game we were robbed again. The mistake this time was down to Viera bringing on another defender when our strength was in the numbers in front of our defence. Hopefully Viera learns from this but I forgive him ;-) This team of ours is looking good and entertaining us fans even if we aren’t getting the wins we deserve yet :-)

Sickening end to what was until that point a very good performance.

I'm not sure Tompkins was the best decision, personally I'd have brought on Hughes to add some more energy.

But look, lets not all slate PV. He's got the team playing well, the fixtures are soon going to ease up and we'll make it rain.

3 pts on Sat I think

No one has any right to slate anyone especially our manager, Arsenal hit the bar when all it needed was the luck of Édouard's shot and Arsenal did what they had to do to get something out of the game in the time left which is calculated during the whole of the second half, it's all crystal balls and hindsight isn't it. We gave away the two points in injury time purely because we miserably failed in keeping possession and frustrating the opposition.

The sub and decision to sit so deep in the last ten were terrible. To be honest Arsenal should probably have won it on the chances they created from that point.

Defending the box in the air hasn’t looked our strong suit so inviting them onto us with no out ball seemed suicidal. Add to that how useless their two centre backs are and I’m sure we’d have forced more mistakes as the game went on.

Time to consider a re-vamp in midfield perhaps?

McArthur works hard and deserves his place but Luka is a liability with his mis-placed and backwards passing and inability to hold the ball. Kouyate has no technical ability and can't hold the ball either.

Surely time to see if Hughes has the ball holding and passing ability we lack ?

The lack of a ball holder cost us dearly in the last 10 minutes.

It was unexpected that both our 'No.9s' would score but I thought Ayew won more headers than Benteke. If only he could use his skill to get crosses in. On balance he must be rested and Olise given a run.

What happens when Eze returns is a very interesting point.

In a post match interview Vieira said that the substitution was made because Tierney was causing problems down the left so Tomkins came on to play on the right of three centre backs.

While this manes some sense unfortunately we just sat back and gave them the initiative and the substitution seemed to affect the balance of our play.
I suppose had we held out we'd have been acclaiming a tactical masterstroke, but I have to say I felt uncomfortable at the tactical change when it was made.

Utter rubbish, our players on the pitch need to learn from this, Viera did the correct thing by bringing on Tomkins to replace the injured Édouard.

Shock horror, Arsenal at home and losing a game by one goal actually put some effort into attacking their opponents before the final whistle.
