A Palace win tonight when they are overwhelming favourites to beat us would place a huge burden on Brighton and knock their confidence sideways. They would start to play with real fear and uncertainty that may take too long to address.

If only...

Hope you got to the bookies with this one!

To be honest 35/1 looks like good value. Big 3 points tonight but looking at the fixture list we have some tough fixtures ahead. If we don't win on the weekend its going to be a nerve wracking finish to the season.

Probably time to close this useless thread MODS

Waste of bandwidth

Pundits have never mentioned us as relegation candidates based on the points we have accrued relative to those in the bottom three.
We now have a situation whereby after next Saturday's game home to Fulham they could be just 4 pts behind us.

I believe that Sheff Utd and WBA will be relegated but I can certainly foresee a situation whereby all the others below us at present could finish higher in the table.
The 'Wheels have come off' and there is no return date for the players who could make a difference including of course Zaha.
We are in deep trouble.

Still being overly negative then Willo?

Fulham could now be 13 points behind us after Sunday’s game!

Yes. If we play like we did yesterday we are unlikely to pick up many more points. But then again we don’t need that many more.

So then yes we could get relegated but we probably won't. Now historically for club of our size to maintain its longest stay in the top division is success. So what the owners and management and players have achieved has to respected. Or whinged or moaned at depending on your point of view.

We won’t be getting relegated and haven’t been in any relegation trouble for a long time. We are on track to finish this season with a decent points total and also decent mid table finish.

We are closer in points to Liverpool than Fulham so let’s start looking upwards!

However..
on a brighter note, Brighton are in a spot of hot water.
2 of their next 4 gmes are 6 pointers vs WBA & Newcastle.
another is a derby vs Soton, with the 4th game being against a good Leicester side.
After those 4 games they kop man.u , everton & chelsea.
not promising.

So teams below us will be dropping points. This needs to be considered when saying we may go down

The bookies now have us anywhere between 14/1 and 30/1 for relegation.
Before last night the best odds you could get were around 12/1.

My favourite thinking is that it's not at all impossible for us to beat Fulham next week and Arsenal are away to Leicester in which I can certainly see a home win being on the cards.

That would put us a point above Arsenal! Remarkable as it doesn't feel like that should be the case but could very well be the reality!

I'm feeling dizzy and getting a slight nosebleed so will stop typing now

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!
