The thing I like about Riedewald is if you watch him when he receives the ball he either plays the way he is facing or he looks forward like any good midfielder should yet more often that not if their is no movement in front of him he has to play sideways or backwards and to be fair on him that isn't is fault. Totally agree. He would be a class act with decent players around him

I see Hodgson is saying we lost to a Wolves wonder goal. Might be better if he explained why we allowed him the time and space to take that shot. If Mitchell and Schlupp had been down the left side I’m fairly sure they would have been tight on the scorer. Eze in my mind was the culprit in giving him that space to shot. All goals come from mistakes but that was lower league defending. In truth the whole 90 plus minutes were poor by us and we got what we deserved :-( Maybe Eze was at fault but where was PVA again? Did we buy Eze to defend or was it because, apart from Wilf, he is the most exciting attacking player in the squad. Carry on like this and his attacking instincts will be coached out of him

Watch it again.

We have to keep our energies for the more important issues of surviving this season to be able to re group with much change before the start of next season. We have really hit a wall with this squad now and do nothing with it is going to cost us dearly next season. I actually thought we had hit the wall with this squad when we went on that losing run at the end of last season - I’m afraid even though we are a number of points of the bottom 3 at the moment we will get dragged down there before the end of this season :-(

Eze is a super talented young player but with completely the wrong manager. Roy does not like playmakers, even Glenn Hoddle wouldn't have got into our team because he couldn't defend

Whilst I don't have that from the horses mouth, looking at the pattern of play and method of defeat it sure seems that way to me. Of course there will be denial, we we unlucky, lost to a wonder goal, played well etc etc, but there is a certain predictability about the manner of these cup defeats... I have, you are right but why were we expecting Eze to mark one of the strongest running wingers in the PL? We had an International LB playing, although you wouldn’t have thought it. I find the criticism of Eze staggering

Don’t agree sorry, you don’t go through the Ajax youth academy and play in Europa league final if you are not even Champioship standard, but it’s a game of opinions though isn’t it Edited by Spiderman (09 Jan 2021 9.58am)
