Football is an entertainment business and at the moment there is no entertainment with Palace the players look tired and disinterested especially Zaha. As Warnock once said you need the ooos and ahhs with shots on goal to get the crowd interested and engaged. The entertainment that's served up now is almost non existent.

Yes, but upstairs as a DOF... then its "taxi time for Doug and Steve P!" We've had probably £1bn or more since we've been promoted and this is the type of performance we're served up week in week out...its a piss take, can't keep the ball, can't pass the ball, minimal shots on target, its bollox to be honest. The other concern with these type of performances is the effect it has on the next generations of Palace fans..no wonder we see so many other shirts locally rather than ours. Its time for a change as this s*** has gone on for too long.

I think we are screwed - Hodgson with I guess 3 additions to the squad for next season will play the same way again and may just keep us up. However, I doubt looking at the way we are finishing this season that squad even with those additions will stay up. I’m fairly sure we are going down next season and we will be relegated by the time the Xmas decs come down. Reason I think we are screwed is because I don’t think anyone Replacing Hodgson can make this squad any better - we are doomed whatever we do I’m afraid. Unless we replace practically everyone and that won’t happen. I’m wondering if we should hand the reigns now to Cahill with perhaps Freedman as his number two and see how they can finish this season? If looking good then give it a go for next season? I just don’t think without a major overhaul anyone can keep us up :-(

I appreciate that emotions run high after an abject defeat but I do sense that there is a growing 'band' of supporters who believe that it is in the club's interest that Hodgson is not our manager next season. The club has fairly recently offered Hodgson an extended contract which he has accepted and I cannot envisage a situation where he is relieved of his services before the start of next season.

It’s not that limited.

I also doubt we’ll see a change of manager next season unless Hodgson decides to stand down.

I wish an interviewer had asked Roy to explain his use of substitutes today. We go 1 down: He subs a creative midfielder for a defensive midfielder We are 2 down: He replaces a defender with Andros (hooray) and Benteke with a defender. So Andros has no target man to aim for. Surely these tactics are from someone who has lost their marbles. Today has put me in the 'Roy must go' camp.
I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything. |

This is why I am in the Roy remain camp. Do I like his style, no. Do I even understand his decision making at times, no. Do I believe we’ll progress under Roy, please. At the moment, we have no money to spend on transfers and a relegation worthy team. I understand the appeal of being in the championship again if just to see us compete in games but would still prefer we stay up, just my personal preference not saying it’s right or wrong. Roy is probably our only bet, but even that’s not guaranteed. I would say however I think most seasons were a sure bet to go down. Also, I can’t see many managers retaining the will to live let alone do the job for an entire season but RH will.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Our play v Bournemouth must have been a mistake. We don't usually press so early in the game and certainly don't score any goals in the first half. Roy must have been furious and disciplined the team to get them back into line.
