It was not an altogether serious post. I quite accept that there are conspiracy theorists on what are called the left and right. Although the idea that Capitalism is a giant conspiracy against the workers is widespread among the left.
We have now sunk to a depth at which the restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men. [Orwell] |

We've got one of the best security services in the world and it's about time they started proving it.

As Dannyh said earlier the Intel and security services in this country foil on average an attack every month (since the France attacks) so they are proving it and doing their job. Someone being under suspicion years and years ago with no evidence isn't the same as someone they think is actively planning something. Go in too heavy and at war about this and we will pay the price for it. Fight fire with fire and more lives will be lost. We aren't at war with them. Not in a literal sense.

Sadly a 75 year old man died tonight. Adele on stage in New Zealand: 'I feel I just wanna a be at home with my friends and family' or some sh1t like that. Well why didn't you book yourself on the 1st flight home and cancel all concerts and refund hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of tickets. These celebrities make me cringe.

Astounded to find out Saudi Arabia fund these Mosques in Western Europe, no doubt to populate Europe with Muslims and their beliefs, and where do these British born terrorists get radicalised, yes, you guessed it, these Mosques, so time to demolish them all before Muslims take over the world, they can always pray at home.....

Lives will be lost whatever approach you take. What is plainly the case is that the approach now is to bury our heads in the sand and do nothing. Muslims as a percentage of the population will just continue to increase and hence the number of radicals and activists. Taking action offends the sensibilities of so called 'nice' people even though random civilians will have to pay for this inaction with their lives. Edited by Stirlingsays (24 Mar 2017 3.49am)

Sure, our services have been effective up to now....and they have also been lucky.....luck is always a factor. But I'm sure you are aware that certain oh so helpful individuals...very likely to be of the left persuasion have recently just released the surveillance methods of the security services all over the Internet. Radicals can now study those methods and take future precautions. Those who want to protect your liberty are also apparently not that bothered about the negative consequences.....They have probably increased the likely success chances of organised terrorism.
