Our transfer activity has been positive so far with maybe more coming in. Look at Southampton, Newcastle,Burnley, Br####on and the newly promoted teams and what they are doing. Bookies always have us down for the drop. Get a good start and they will talk about us for a european spot! A top 10 finish is worth a few quid at the bookies, and certainly achievable.

is this the same money men that suggested at different points in the last few months that Lampard, Cooper, Howe, NES, Favre, Ismael etc were favourites to be our new manager?

TLDR: don't read into it too much.

Pretty sure that at various points a good few of those were favourites tbh - not sure anyone is pretending that PV was a first choice.

Or you could just place a bet on us staying up, if you think the bookies are being overly pessimistic. Or perhaps lay the relegation odds on an exchange.

We've been favourites for relegation almost every season we've been in this league as far as I can recall

Interesting because I don't recall a single season where we were the bookies' favourite to be relegated before the season started.

There is Worse relegation odds for the newly promoted teams. But we are given a damning bill of health by the money men.

And i hate to say it, but the money men usually know what they are talking about.

What would you think if. We were relegated this year but had a new young exciting squad that played attractive football with a hungry ambitious manager? We have spent too many years just about waving and avoiding drowning. It has felt like the death of a thousand cuts some times. Bring on the new era and let's see what it holds in store. Hopefully many more years in the Prem.

There'll be a 31 year old from Everton going cheap soon I hear.

At the end of last season I'd also have thought we were doomed for the next one.

Recently I have been experiencing a strange and alien phenomena .....O P T I M I S M....

Willo remains immune of course.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

BHA 8-1 seriously.. they are just looking at we had 10 out of contract, regardless that 6 of them were dead wood and played little part in the season, 2 have resigned, clyne more than likely will , the only real loss is maybe Andros /pva hopefully we have made 2 solid signings with a couple more on the way ..

We will be fine .. a few Rocky moments ahead but I’m sure the players were as sick of playing Royball as much as we were watching it.

So that's one season whereas you said "almost every season".
